Assassin’s Creed III hits the UK tonight and Blockbuster will be selling it for 99p as part of a new trade-in deal.

Customers who want to make the most of the offer must trade in any two of the following titles: Borderlands 2, Dishonored, FIFA13, 007 Legends, Madden 13, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, NBA 2K13, PES 2013, Resident Evil 6, Rocksmith, WRC 3, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Dance Central 3 or Forza Horizon.

The rental specialist will also rent the game out for five night for £6.

“The buzz for Assassin’s Creed III has been building for months and we have seen this reflected in the pre-orders that we’ve taken – which are more than double compared to last year’s instalment,” head of games James Morton stated.

“We’re delighted to be offering such a great deal for all our customers and anticipate a great response to this in the coming days.”

The trade-in offer is valid between October 31st and November 8th.

I finished Creed 1 and 2 in around a week - am I likely to finish 3 in 5 days?

Depends how long you play it for in those 5 days....most games are doable in that time, defo the main story arc at least.

I am sure I read somewhere, don't take me 100% on it mind you, that it is a little shorter than the older ones but more in depth.

I was recently involved in market research discussion group for Deus Ex and they have a new game in the pipe line that looks promising for fans of the other games.

Hope you told them that lead characters who wear shades indoors with long black coats and speak in gruff, hushed tones hasn't been cool since The Matrix, and these days borders on being as camp as Christmas.

Brilliant.

I'd tell them that the trailers for their last game were much, much better than the game itself.

I've been enjoying NFS:MW, the online multiplayer delivers exactly what I'm looking for, now I just need to unlock vehicles and mods to get the best from it. Sadly it's the first game that's made me turn my AA and detail settings down from maxed in a while, still it looks beautiful and is smooth as silk at medium settings, but with everything full it looks insane.

I knew nothing about the game before hand, when he said what it was called I thought he was saying 'deer sex'.

And no I didn't quite go that far in case they didn't pay me, however when they were showing us designs on how the main character might look like I (and panel) strongly said not to go with the matrix one.

Hopefully in the new game you will see augmented camels.

Woop! More Deus Ex please! loved the last game, but yeah, monkey is right about some of the styling being a bit dated these days. Also the thing that annoyed me the most was the switching between cut scenes and gameplay with completely different lighting. There's a bit towards the start of the game where you walk into your boss' office, and there's a very moodily lit cutscene. It then flicks back to gameplay in a brightly lit office. It killed all immersion straight away.

Anyway, Dishonored is my new Deus Ex. Got it on the weekend and it is basically a beautiful steam punk version of Deus Ex. Why are sneak-em-ups so much fun, and why don't they make more of them?

Halo 4 is pretty god damn wow so far. graphically outstanding - the best looking game I have seen on the xbox 360 so far. the sound is great, and the weapons feel like they should have felt since forever. im only one and a bit levels into the campaign, but im already loving it. I'm playing on Heroic, and have already decided I will be replaying it on Legendary.

    • All you can say is...     If he couldn't convince nations that really would've benefitted from the short-term hit of an up-front £50mil payment by this time next year, what hope did he have?   Guess we'll now just have to monitor and see if this could derail Infantino's plans to be re-elected FIFA President next year.
    • Spider-Man: Brand New Day   Highlight was a bloke reacting to the post-credit scene by going "Holy f**k it's Tobey Maguire!" despite the scene having no reference to him at all. Which made my close-to-full screening of the film laugh a lot.   Film was pretty good. It was interesting as much as an exploration of the ramifications of the end of No Way Home and being about isolationism and male loneliness, which I thought it actually did quite well. Though I do ponder if I liked it as much as the other 3 Tom Holland Spider-Man movies. Sadie Sink was good tbf, while I also liked Jon Bernthal as Punisher, enough that I might go watch his Disney+ shows.   Seem to have had a Marvel kick recently having also watched Thunderbolts and Shang-Chi, both of which I thought were pretty good.
    • Wolf Alice won't get headliner for Reading either, they will sub if they play, that is where their level has stopped I feel. Both TFG and Skyvip for the big shows this year was just a stretch too far. Every headliner this year is bigger than them too I'd say.   Agree with Capaldi I don't think Yungblud will be at Reading. I would guess Bludfest 3 or Download.
    • If Dolly Parton could do it, I highly doubt it. Just not right for it.   This
