I went for 2002, great set of headliners. The Strokes at the peak of there powers, Foo Fighters were still 'creative' and not just a rock and roll Coldplay, then The Prodigy are one of the best live acts I've ever seen.

2009 is a close 2nd, my first year at the festival so it always will be up there for me

2001 has still received zero votes, to be fair the headliners were a bit gash that year but the undercard wasn't shabby at all the likes of Green Day, The Strokes, Biffy, SOAD & QOTSA to name but a few. I do understand that there weren't obviously as now as they were then etc.

2005. It's the only year where I'd consider buying tour date tickets for every headliner.

2007 had phenomenal subs who all upstaged headliners. Kings of Leon were fantastic then, back after Because of the Times had come out. Arcade Fire were brilliant and that NIN set is my favourite ever festival show.

I'm surprised at the lack of love for '99. Blur and RHCP would have been in stunning form back then.

I use a points system to compare lineups:

Band I don't like or am not interested in at all = 0

Band I slightly like (one or two songs) or am interested in checking out = 1

Band I kind of like, but not enough to go to their own shows = 2

Band I like = 3

Band I love = 4

One of my all-time favourites = 5

Going by that, 2008 wins for me with 12 points (5 each for Rage and Metallica, 2 for Killers). Then 2003 with 10 (5 each for Metallica and Linkin Park).

2000 for me, Oasis were on top form and Pulp were fantastic as usual. Sadly missed The Stereophonics, even more gutted that Tom Jones came on with them.

Second favourite would be 2008.
