Never managed to do the whole of Glasto in one weekend, even when it was much smaller than it is now with comparatively less areas / venues available to see, but who knows - its 5 days long now and if you run around the site and spend no more than 20 mins at each place you might do it.

Arcadia is impressive and runs for Fri-Sun. More visual in the evenings with the light and fire shows; often more chilled by day with ska and DJ sets popular. See also: Shangri-La.

You can glimpse everything in one day. The first time I went we got marched round at a furious pace which left us exhausted and annoyed, so don't do it. To actually experience it all takes years, I have been 4 years now and still haven't done it all.

My advice would be to choose a couple of places you definitely want to see then just go with the flow, don't give yourself dozens of must see acts...I just choose maybe 3 a day(even then I miss them). I've ended up seeing so much I wouldn't have otherwise and most of them are now my favourite memories :)

Well I took My daughter KitKat for the first time in 09 and (If we get tickets) next year will be her 4th at the age of 15..

If your worried aim for the Triangle area at the bottom of Pennards where a lot of the folk on this forum camp.. You will be looked after.. Pretty friendly lot around here..

Be awre the q on the way in may be several hours.. But once you are in life takes on a different perspective for a week or so..ENJOY

I'm thinking of doing Glastonbury this year but I'll only be 17 by the time it comes round. It'd be my first full festival (done Reading on Sunday this year) so I'm not sure if it'd be too much. What'd you reckon?

Cheers for all the positive responses guys, I'm definitely going to consider it then. Hopefully I'd be going along with my brother who's 22 now so should be ok! I'm interested in taking a wonder round and love the much more relaxed atmosphere that Glastonbury seems to have!

Only problem I have is I should technically still be in school the end of June even though my exams will have finished for the year, shall have to see! :)

Im hoping next year will be my first glasto at......33!

i've watched the films/docu's, you tube clips, friends bragging they've been and how awesome it is.

I need to seethe scale of the place with my own eyes, then i'm sure i'll be hooked and be there every year.

First child is due early next year. My Mrs doesn't want me to go and I probably shouldn't be spending the money, which is fine as its not every year you have your first kid! But also would be very difficult to go because of work stuff going on at that time of year, which will still be in place next year.

It's impossible to do everything at Glasto, even if you tried whizzing around the place on a bicycle. That's because there's stupid amounts of hidden stuff and unannounced acts, even beyond the obvious ones that are leaked beforehand. That's part of the beauty of the place. :)
