Kendal Calling 2013

Another cover band (more than tribute although they must enjoy the original material) that have played Kendal a few years ago who I enjoy are the easy star all stars, really enjoyed their dub side of the moon and radioDred albums, their lonely hearts club album was good as well. At the time they played Kendal they had started playing a lot of their own stuff which didn't have the same impact in my opinion. I'm sure they were at Glastonbury the other year and played 2 or 3 days running, each day playing one of their albums in full.

laugh.png I like it ! And to prove there`s no hard feelings, will just go with the see you jimmy bunnet for your fine efforts on the Roses ticket front. A bay city rollers scarf or anything to do with the Krankies would go down almost as well as if you wore a blonde wig, gold shell suit and a smoked a large cigar while shuffling around Glasgow muttering " now then, now then " wink.png

Ahhh the trusty, tickets on sale next Thursday email, I'm assuming it'll be similar to last year where the early bird tickets must be bought outright on the day, no deposit scheme for them.

See lippy, never to late.

To be fair general camping people where shutting in wheely bins as well in places, but it wasn't piled up out of the bin in the emperors . Emperors was quieter, a lot of families who didn't want the hassle of drunken teens running riot, you could park within a hundred yards or so of ur tent so no massive hike to the camping area and it had showers.

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
