I think we should just set up camp in jonnys Amish woodyard as he can't use it for traffic when the festivals on anyways ! He's bound to have a wheelie bin or 2 with ample supply of sawdust to lob on top. Bet he'd even let you hoist an anti hotspots flag above it

Just back from seeing The Proclaimers....will be a good shout for you lot next year...still turning out a good tune or two....but then again, they're not from Manchester so I'm unsure if they'll be allowed to play....

However, there wasn't a single comedy tam o'shanter or ginger wig in sight!!

The support group were interesting...would be a good shout for Chai Wallahs....Blueflint.

Most enjoyable

Good call Mick,

No see you Jimmy`s and I take it no Hibs fans to ruin it ?

Frankie Boyle joke from his recent gig up my way " Someone said I look like one of the Proclaimers "..... anywayz, Wouldn`t expect to see them at Kendal but if they turn up they are often accompanied by Hibs fans these days, bring a tear to a glass eye :

Classic vid. All my comedy heroes were in it, plus wee Jimmy Crankie.

I think I could pull off Matt Lucas....if I grow may hair a bit, plus the vest and bow tie look is one I often favour. Fortunatley I know a few pubs in Glasgow where no - one would bat an eye. As long as you wear the bunnet of course.

You decided what to do this year cn1910 , you off to wickerman or doing Kendal this year ? Still canny gutted I've gotta choose between them this year, it'll be Kendal that I go to tho, might take in solfest as my 2nd festival next yr, been debating it for a while, hopefully the line up will b a bit stronger than this yrs

Have The Coral played Kendal recently ? Think they`d be a good bet. Bad Manners headlined Wickerman`s tent last year and would be ideal for chewy wah wah`s...quality show.

I would also guess that the Charlatans, Cast and Jake Bugg are already booked.

I have dropped my Kasabian prediction. Possibly as I have had no cider tonight.

A pint sounds good in Glasgow mate, I'm booked in a hotel in the town centre so shud be up there by 1 at the latest, should be a good day, we'll arrange something closer to the time, sure lochland will be up for it as well as he's in the same hotel for the night.

    • Generally shorter too, I imagine. 🙂
    • Will that work for arenas with seats? People will have their tickets on their phones and needs to find their seat.
    • Excellent new release from overpass today - well worth checking out.
    • Having lived here for 2 and a half years now my take is that security, safety and organisation are just not a priority in Spain. It's not even exclusive to festivals. It's a part of everything.   Simple example. I'm Irish and in Ireland if you assemble a construction site you have to adhere to a lot of regulations about cordoning off the site so nobody can enter and get injured. Here, you're walking down the foot path and suddenly without any warning you're in a construction site. If not, you'll suddenly find yourself directed onto the road to get around the construction.   Life is more laid back here in general. Pros and cons.
