Just saw Disclosure at King Tuts in Glasgow, absolutely amazing - new album is sounding great, every track could be a single. Met Howard after the gig and asked him about Rockness, bad news - he said they aren't playing, the poster was just a mistake...

Shit...this thread is quiet?!

Checked out fatboy slim at the arches on YouTube, because I couldn't make it that night! Looks good though.overall a half decent line up as far as I'm concerned, not really fussed about Example or Plan B to be honest, but that's just how it goes. Last year was up my street and this year it'll be up someone else's street.

Simple fact is I choose Rockness over TITP anyday simply over the location, the people and the artists.TITP may have some pretty decent folk this year, and I was also a bit posses off hearing they had the afterburner too.that was one the main points of my arguments with mates/folk about how Rockness is better.

Anyway, regardless of the lineup, ive just lost all interest in TITP for the past few years.everywhere seems a hassle to walk too,the audience have changed in terms of age, which in turn brings different attitudes, folk starting fights etc etc.im nkt saying it doesn't happen at Rockness guys,I'm just giving my open and debatable opinion.its a much cleaner, friendlier festival.although I'm not ecstatic over the headliners this year,I'll still have a ball,go to a few tents and watch some undiscovered acts is what it's all about! Acts are only as big as the public make them!!

That aside, loo for a van which will most likely have 'europcar' along the side of it and come and have a beer and a fucking burger.christ, you can even chart you phone in my genny if you want! Rockness has something special about it,I've met folk year upon year where I've given fuel for generators and the same guys 2 years later seen us having bother with ours and happily walked along and just handed us theirs to use!

Fuck sake,I'm smashed folks.im wrapping this up now! Maybe see some of you there??!

hahaha i was just joking, Although I did start the london riots with a one worder. Anyway, does anyone see the rumours for Reading & Leeds? More commericial acts but all put on a great live show set TBC: Magnetic Man, Hadouken, Major Lazer, Sub Focus. Seen them all before and all are great acts but would a bit more ticket sales.. Magnetic Man unlikely as we already have Skream & Benga though.

I've also noticed Rockness being advertised on a ridiculous amount of websites which im happy about although the crowd will get bigger and evolve if it saves the festival it'll keep me happy.

    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
    • watching clips of the cure in Barcelona, wow 2 hours 25 minute set. That's gonna be tough on the Sunday but can't bloody wait for it
