Lineup 2014

I can't remember what was released at this point last year.

The Horrors, Wild Beasts and Warpaint are easily my top 3 so far

The National - Trouble Will Find Me (I think)

Flaming Lips - The Terror

Eels - Wonderful, Glorious

Tomahawk - Oddfellows

How to Destroy Angels - Welcome Oblivion

Nick Cave - Push The Sky Away

Probably something else as well.

You Daft Punk fanboy you ;)

Was RAM even out by now? I thought that was the start of June.

MBV/Foals/Daughter/TJF/Frightened Rabbit/BRMC/The Strokes/Frank Turner/Phoenix all had decent albums out by this point too, although some of those aren't quite on par with the likes of Nick Cave & HTDA.

I didn't forget Biffy, that was intentional :P

Don't rate Frank Turner generally, but yeah, all good shouts.

That's what I meant really. For most bands it'd be alright but a poor one for Lips.

Still better than most of what has come out so far this year. And it's better than AWWTM at least.

GCSEs don't really count for much either. Our teacher cheated us through on our Welsh exam, scenes

I sat a full course (yes I was sad enough to take full course) welsh exam following a night consisting of half a litre of vodka and a gram of flake. They sat me next to a toilet because I 'looked dodgy'. Got an A*, fucking pointless language anyway. Ahh, Flint life.

I saw Frank Turner at the love Apple in Bradford if that counts? I think it was only his 2nd gig outside of London. Mainly went because I was a big million dead fan. I was pretty surprised With the style he was playing.

Also been watching biffy live since 2001. Seen them play pretty much every toilet in Leeds.

:P Not there biggest fan anyway tbh. They are great and saw them at Leeds but it was only because I needed a name to sign up and Kemosabe is a cool one

Same here, I'm far from Frank's biggest fan. I like him, but not as much as people might make out when they see the username

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
