Maybe they will put a lesser band on after Band of Skulls.

I've been going Reading for about 8 years and every year my friends only stagger into the arena around 4-5pm. I just tell them where I'm going and strike out on my own. Occasionally I convince them to see something good with me, but I still have a good time regardless.

Great lineup this year. Got some bad clashes atm i.e. La Dispute vs. Blood Red Shoes, We Are Scientists vs. Chvrches, Klaxons vs. Mongol Horde, DZ Deathrays vs. Gnarwolves etc. but pretty stoked atm. Looks like I'm gonna spend my least amount of time yet at main.

If everyone thinks their friends are bad, my mates didn't see System Of A Down because "it was too cold......"

That is the worst excuse not to see any band ever, some of them were going on about System for ages even saying they should be headlining not Biffy. One of my mates said he wanted to go but no one went with him so he stayed.....great pals I have

I don't... Most of my mates did this, why does it make them bad? They've paid £200 for a ticket, they can do what they want while they're there. If they'd rather sit with their mates than see a band they've never heard of/don't like then why shouldn't they? I've done that on occasion. Most people there aren't as into music as we are, doesn't make them stupid or bad or anything.

I suppose, never meant it to worded like that. Just seems like a waste to me...but each to their own I guess

Regarding the dance stage on Friday, Duke Dumont IS the special guest, rather than those being 2 separate acts. It's clearer on the actual lineup poster. (the yellow one)

Oh really? Bloody hell what makes him so special? Cheers, will update

Not down with the lingo it seems

so judging by how many new acts we have actually got, have some clashes changed? Will Macklemore clash with horrors?

guess that's abit of a sigh of relief some users here.

I'll be at letlive. 8)

Dan P Carter (the guy who curates the pit) has said there's 2 more bands who'll play, and one of them is a secret set

Is it the Friday Lock Up as that day is a bit sparse still. Also I have no idea about the secret set or who it will be

    • It would be piss-easy for a bot to manage, though.
    • I've heard that ticket sales for other events that use the same system have included the question 'are you still there?' on each window/browser you have with a place in the queue. If you don't confirm you are, it'll assume you're not and that place will drop.   I've no idea if Glasto/See will adopt this, but it would be challenging to keep on top of with many windows open.
    • People who're struggling are already priced out, so I don't think a bump in price will affect who attends. There'll still be a cross section, leaning young. I also think they'll do a soft breaking of the £400 ceiling, keeping the ticket price just below but having postage take it over. Next year the ticket itself will be over that threshold.

    • Not sure if this has been mentioned but new La Roux album out November - was meant to play in 2020 but hasn't found her way back onto a lineup. If any excuse just to hear this absolute banger on the fields next year!
