indeed, I don't actually know anyone who's been to see them either

I knew a few people went, including one of my best friends which was his first gig.....

Someone I knew said that it was on par with Biffy Clyro........don't trust her musical opinion anymore (she is also the one who kept telling that McBusted were going to headline R&L)

no idea, I just presumed it was tbh.

ALSO: Did anyone find out what day Mayday parade are playing? Because I'm pretty sure it's the saturday because they're also doing an instore at banquet in Kingston in the evening as they owed them an instore due to cancelling earlier on in the year and are doing it then because they're in the area. Banquet confirmed when the announced the changed date that it clashed with the day they were playing Reading.

ah okay, was just relating the info banquet gave out that I've just remembered now.

EDIT: I'd actually quite like them on the sunday lock up as it fills up the stage a bit more as I'm basically going to stay there all day I think.

Yeah the Lock Up is looking pretty full on the Sunday (conversely the FR is empty). I guess Mayday Parade would go about fourth down, below Every Time I Die who are third? (I know fuck all about them really)

Every Time I Die to play 3rd, like they did in 2012, would be my main guess so you'd be right with Mayday as well. (well I hope anyway)

Really? I thought they suit lock up quite well, have some heavier songs but tbh either there or FR, it doesn't really matter. Have wanted to see them for quite some time now so grand either way :)

    • I agree that we’ll never really know up until the concert happens (and even then we still may not know) but I think promoters are having to come up with new tactics to combat ‘blue dot fever’ (already hating that phrase!) and trying to imply that concerts are selling better than they actually are / available tickets are in short supply is definitely one of them.    To add though, it is quite common at the O2 Arena for the rear blocks to not go on sale (and then remain closed for the concert and covered over to hide the empty seats). And equally common for standing to sell out first, then side/lower tier seating next and rear/upper tier seating last.    Jungle’s two concerts at the O2 are a good comparison for this - for their 1st (announced) date, all blocks are on sale and seats in all sections remain unsold, whereas for their 2nd date, the rear blocks are greyed out (more so than for Muse) and equally lots of seats remain unsold in the blue blocks. Standing for both concerts are showing as sold out.
    • MGK can and should headline. I was at one of his shows earlier in the year as a very casual fan, and there were a lot of alt people there. The show was actually class and he completely won me over. Anyone who opposes him headlining is just a gatekeeper imo, we need to move with the times.
    • Ultimately Glasto is just part of the festival circuit, however special we may think it is. The vast majority of its headliners have done many others
    • From Magyar’s FB:   ”Our country's energy and water supply is stable. As of today, voluntary consumption reduction is no longer necessary. The turbine at the Paks power plant is generating stably. Thanks to precipitation in Austria, the water level of the Danube will temporarily rise by 20–30 centimeters. Thank you, Hungary, for the unprecedented national unity shown in recent days! We have much to be proud of, and much to carry forward into the period ahead.”
    • I hope it stays under £400.  A lot of us aren't flush with cash.  Charities are great but do they need £1 mil (I jest)
