I still think that if the organisers wanted SOAD to headline, they would have gone for them last year because of the reunion. But Download we're always going to be favourites to have them. I'd love to see them headline Reading and Leeds, but like people have been saying. they're just not that popular anymore, yet I don't think they would choose to sub at R&L when they could headline Soni or DL.

I don't see Pearl Jam headlining, they're got no big name songs that will mean the kiddies will have heard of them, The Cure and Pulp both have big hits that are relevant to today's indie scene which is what R&L is aimed at. The reaction on the R&L facebook page would be along the lines of "hu da fuk r pearl jam?" etc. That being said, I'd love Melvin to prove me wrong and book them, I suppose if PJ were are possibility then this lineup wouldn't be too implausible;

Pearl Jam

Bloc Party

Biffy Clyro

Dizzee Rascal

Bon Iver

Belle & Sebastian

I threw Belle & Sebastian in there as a little piece of bait to swing it from a lineup that would make me buy a ticket for the PJ day to a lineup that would make me buy a weekend ticket, you're all going to tell me they wont be booked, but stranger things have happened... occasionally.

actually they haven't sold out any arenas yet for their tour. maybe if you did some research before typing stuff like that then it wouldn't make you seem silly. (can still get tickets for all of the dates online via their site ;) )

also they'd surely be more suited to V, because damn their music is garbage

    • Do people want an arena experience though? Especially for sub par bands. Rather a band do more nights at an independent venue for more money than 1 big one.
    • Trump needs to justify his peace prize before first game in US kicks off.
    • Are we still expecting Anna Von Hausswolff?  I recall seeing recently that she'd cancelled some tour dates due to illness
    • Hey everyone! My friend and I are heading over from Sweden to Tramlines this summer. We had our eyes on a bunch of different festivals in the UK, but since most of them sold out before we even knew if we’d be able to make the trip, we finally settled on Tramlines. Why Tramlines, you might ask? Well, because we’re absolutely crazy about British music, and finding a festival like this (where you also don’t have to camp, a huge plus) made it impossible not to buy a ticket. The fact that I’ll also get to see The Enemy after beeing a fan for 19 years didn’t hurt either.   Since the app doesn’t work over here… is the Clashfinder schedule 100% accurate? What’s the venue like, and what does the map look like? Which sides of the stages are best to stand on? How long does it take to walk between stages? What are the prices usually for food and drinks? Is it easy to get to the festival from town? And is it easy to get back into town? Is it allowed to walk around with a beer anywhere in the venue, or are there those stupid fenced-off bar areas? As you can tell, I need all kinds of info, so please share your best tips and tricks to make this the best festival experience possible.  I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance! 😃
