Really? Deftones played academy's and Avenged Sevenfold had a massive album last album, sub headlined Download & also sold out all the arena's on their last UK run, and was rumoured to be a headliner at this years Sonisphere before being cancelled.

3 pointers

1) BMTH are NOT big enough to play 3rd! Calm it fanboys!

2) FOB subbing would be worse then paramore subbing. Doubt it will happen.

3) avenged have a new album coming out, which I predict will be massive and propel them to download headline. They'll be bigger then both deftones and bullet. At the moment they all kinda merge 3rd/weak sub

Deftones album has been huge there tour sold stupidly quick and tickets were going on ebay for near fest day ticket prices. Also deftones subbed Download it wat most consider its strongest year, 2009. Also that they where in talks to headline a fest the was cancelled due to lack of headline quality bands doesn't say much for them.

Yes their album was big and their tour sold quick but Deftones in my opinion will never sell out arena's here and I cant see them even headlining a festival over here, they sub headlined Download in 2010 and the undercard for that year was affected due to ACDC's demands. Avenged Sevenfold would play higher than Deftones 100% I say

Fall Out Boy will not sub headline... they would be happy with 3rd. I would be happy with 3rd. not a wasted sub slot then. every ones happy!

Besides if FOB were sub headling and Biffy were the Sunday night headliner it would be a very weak top 2 for a final day even though I believe Biffy deserve the headline slot and I am really looking forward to them! I just don't think they would be a top 2...

I think just because the majority of the people on here dislike them, they do not realise that for the punk/emo fans. Fall out boy were their beatles.

You will be surprised how many people I know nearly fainted when they found out fall out boy were in the UK playing reading. For many people, fall out boy will be their must see band of the whole weekend. They are massive and I think alot of people here try to not believe it.

    • I agree that we’ll never really know up until the concert happens (and even then we still may not know) but I think promoters are having to come up with new tactics to combat ‘blue dot fever’ (already hating that phrase!) and trying to imply that concerts are selling better than they actually are / available tickets are in short supply is definitely one of them.    To add though, it is quite common at the O2 Arena for the rear blocks to not go on sale (and then remain closed for the concert and covered over to hide the empty seats). And equally common for standing to sell out first, then side/lower tier seating next and rear/upper tier seating last.    Jungle’s two concerts at the O2 are a good comparison for this - for their 1st (announced) date, all blocks are on sale and seats in all sections remain unsold, whereas for their 2nd date, the rear blocks are greyed out (more so than for Muse) and equally lots of seats remain unsold in the blue blocks. Standing for both concerts are showing as sold out.
    • MGK can and should headline. I was at one of his shows earlier in the year as a very casual fan, and there were a lot of alt people there. The show was actually class and he completely won me over. Anyone who opposes him headlining is just a gatekeeper imo, we need to move with the times.
    • Ultimately Glasto is just part of the festival circuit, however special we may think it is. The vast majority of its headliners have done many others
    • From Magyar’s FB:   ”Our country's energy and water supply is stable. As of today, voluntary consumption reduction is no longer necessary. The turbine at the Paks power plant is generating stably. Thanks to precipitation in Austria, the water level of the Danube will temporarily rise by 20–30 centimeters. Thank you, Hungary, for the unprecedented national unity shown in recent days! We have much to be proud of, and much to carry forward into the period ahead.”
    • I hope it stays under £400.  A lot of us aren't flush with cash.  Charities are great but do they need £1 mil (I jest)
