I remember someone put up a fake line up a while ago with Lostprophets headlining FR and no one really contested it.

I don't think ticket sales matter, they've shown that they're happy to push bands up or have risky headliners whether they're selling tickets or not. I bet there's a questionable headliner again next year (either in size or appeal) even though apparently ticket sales will be hard to come by.

I think we should just accept it now so we aren't disappointed when the Headliners turn out to be Mumford, Bloc Party and Metallica.

Also as amazing as System would be, I can't see this at Reading.

Lostprophets wouldn't sub the tent anymore, they headlined it a couple of years back. At the very least I reckon they'd only accept third down on the main...

BP are playing Earls Court though. That's a big club. First round of gigs were intimate warm up shows.

Isn't the London show 2 months after their tour so they can't really be classified as warm up shows and more of a tour.

Why do people make arguments for Bloc Party to headline and then dismiss The Prodigy who have sold out arenas, Stadiums and Headlined other UK Fests successfully.

It was a tour, but it was still intimate, I believe they even promoted it as that?

That said, I still can't see them headlining

The tour which consisted of KOKO, Manchester Ritz and Glasgow Garage was the intimate tour; all their other dates aside from their show at Birthdays have been the tour in support of their album.

Why would they demand to move up the line up when they have accepted playing smaller venues and had a below par selling album?

Thery actually played a small venue down the road with tixs costing £10 plus a free copy of their album and they weren't able to sell it out.

I went to see Enter Shikari there; it was bitterly cold when I left my house so I decided to wear a parka, I couldn't find the cloakroom and it was the worst decision I've made at a gig in my life.

Haha really? Jesus that's pretty bad. I watched an interview with the front-man a few weeks ago and his aspirations were to headline one day, I was just basing my opinion on that

They said that if their performance wasn't the best headline set Reading had ever seen they would play it for free. He's like Johnny Borrell but if Johnny Borrell was saying the shite he did now.
