lost
Indy even if the Scottish people reject it again. Quote Ms Sturgeon yesterday set out her intention to hold a re-run of the 2014 vote on October 19 next year but there are question marks over whether that vote will go ahead, with the Supreme Court being asked to look at whether the Scottish Parliament can hold the ballot without the permission of the UK Government. The SNP leader said that if the referendum cannot proceed then she will treat the next general election as a "de facto" referendum. Her deputy suggested the First Minister could demand breakaway talks with Boris Johnson even if the SNP wins less than half the popular vote at the next general election. The Scottish Indy vote, The Brexit referendum, Trump winning due to Russian interference, Biden winning due to rigged voting machines. Its not a great sign for democracy that nobody seems to be able to accept the result from a democratic vote anymore. Can't be good for society when everyone expects their own way all the time and doesn't care how it happens.

The EU is a collection of sovereign states and the UK is a sovereign state. This is the problem - you don't understand the basics. Anti indy folk are always comparing indy & Brexit. Guess that's ok when it suits their argument.

Neil
Quote However it is wrong to assume that because the Indy campaign gained a lot of ground during the last campaign that the same thing will happen again. Logically the higher the starting point the harder it will be to make incremental gains. If you have converted a of of the "soft" no voters the rest are harder to convert. Neil
Quote , bad bad Westminster, denying a referendum less than 8 years since the last one. There should be referendums held every Friday until the Scottish people give the correct answer.
