I'd guess it's too small, particularly as they appear to have turned down what I presume would have been a very big offer to play wherever it is they're playing.

sounds strange maybe but it's nothing but a way it could or could not be to find out.

as said about hop farm, they wouldn't be offered more money to do hop farm surely than pheonix?

Thats a fake/fan made map, I wouldn't put any faith in it at all. The only true map to go off is the one on The Cure's site which points towards the North East.

Really, I haven't got a clue anymore if its not R+L.

Thats because there isn't one, as far as I know anyway. All of the clear maps are fakes or based off fan predictions and were all in turn based off the map on The Cure's site which is half obscured.

Still think R+L is pretty likely by the way, if it was their own show surely they could announce it now? There must be a reason why its being held back which for me pointing it being an FR festival.

Right so we are going based off the blurred one which I why me saying that have a pot below norwich latitude area doesn't go with someone else saying one in the north east.

Latitude was shown on the fake maps mostly because most fans/people never thought they could headline R+L and thats where that rumour has stemmed from. Also, its pretty well known that The Cure have been talking to Festival Republic and other festival organsations, so Latitude seemed an obvious guess. Its a similar festival to Bestival but much smaller so that added to the rumour mill

However, the mark on the original blurred map (ignore all other maps), is to the North East, around the Hull area and is closer to Leeds, nowhere near Latitude/Norwich which suggests it could be Reading and Leeds. Added to that, Efestivals has come across some further info in the last few days that suggests they are indeed playing R+L, thats why they are a stronger rumour for it. Logically it would make sense for them to play a festival that is of a similar size to those they are doing in Europe, which suggests R+L more so.

If it is the north east and is not Leeds and reading I would absolutely love it if evolution festival in Newcastle and Gateshead had pulled one out of the bag to get them. Highly doubtful I know. But it puts another festival to the North East theory.

Also it gets announced next Wednesday so that will rule that theory out or clear it up.

To me that map does suggest two UK dates. North and South.
