There's a difference between playing gigs for free and playing gigs that everyone else about as big as you play for the same level of money. It just pisses me off with all their street level, leftist lyrics and such. Almost as bad as Anti-Flag.

Don't get me wrong, I love both bands, it's just their hypocrisy annoys the shit out of me.

Exactly. We need more bands on the scene with integrity, a la LOC.

On a separate note, it'd be great if LOC play again this year, thoroughly enjoyed them last year and apparently they're recording a new album this year. Or, even better, Star Fucking Hipsters please.

to be fair The King Blues, from what i've heard, used the politics to make them more money. They don't stand for any of it, just use it as a sell tool.

I've never had the chance to see them. I was a big fan a few years back but admittedly I haven't listened to them for a year or two now. I'd definitely like to see them on the line up but I'm not sure how likely it is.

Saw them on the mainstage at Leeds in 05. They were fucking brilliant.

Don't think they're a lock up type band though, although I'd love them to play.

I saw Turbonegro when they subbed the Lock Up a few years ago, decent enough but there's a lot of other bands I'd rather have on.

Headlined third stage at download last year, not exactly too big or anything, I'm never to sure of what makes a lock up headliner so have no idea.

theyre the right size to headline lockup, and they have a sort of crossover. not sure wether mike davies would book them though, theyre more likely to play low main/high mid nme tbh.
