Even the band said when they announced the dates last year that everyone would be sick of the sight of them after touring the uk.

Maybe you should email that comment to Dave Grohl.

Perhaps I should! Because the UK tour was hardly that extensive and I never got anything close to a chance of seeing them. TITP was the same weekend as sonisphere and sold out straight away as usual anyways

Download/Soni there's no difference, still run by organisers saying they've got brillaint headliners regardless of who they've actually got so Soni saying they've got "fantastic headliners" really goes mean nothing.

As far as I'm concerned, they are still even. Download's headliners this year are the worst in their history, all a matter of opinion though.

Oh and Metal Hammer have just said Soni's lineup is going to be amazing.

According to the Twitter guy who has posted on the official forum, it is looking like the end of the month when the announcement will be finally made.

No idea why as nothing has been said, it makes no sense to me for Sonisphere to wait until after Download make there next announcement on the 16th as if the undercard is good, lots of people who can only afford to go to one of the festivals are going invest in a Download ticket?

I guess it is down to when the headliners they have booked allowing them to make the announcement?
