Sad Tradition

So every year we give the festival a name in honour of the weather - bit sad I know but started with an 11 year old and has just carried on since and is now part of the festival for us.

So names we have are:

2007 Glastonmuddy

2008 Glastonlovely

2009 Glastonsunny

2010 Glastonscorchy (started as Glastonhotty but then just kept getting hotter)

We also added my first year (no family group then)

1997 Glastonsommey (as in the Somme)

But what the hell do we call 2011?

On Friday it looked like it would be Glastonsquelchy but then most of it dried up, cant call it Glastonokwetnwindythenhot coz that is just TOO stupid

So what the hell do well call it. Come on people give me your suggestions, I know it is a stupid thing but it is part of our festival and we NEED a good name

Cheers

posts so far - when posts have quietened off I will get the family to vote for a winner

Glastophrenic hmm dont think that will get the vote

Glastomuddywetovercastsunny accurate and better than my version

Glastinclementy ok but does not really sum up Sunday for me

Glastoenteritus guessing hedgepeg had some toilet based issues

Glastonmix short n sweet like it

Trevor funny but straying off the Glasto start

Glastosticky could have been a winner but dried up in most parts where we were on Sunday

Glastomuggy didn't thinl of that and definately accurate

Glastonchangeable sums weekend quite well

GlastoAlan probably favourite with younger sections of family

Glastonvari close but no cigar

Glastonfusing indeed!

Glastonclimatechangy def changy but climate changey not convinced on this one

Glastonimprovingy def true

Glastonwhattoweary very true - despite not being the muddiest year for me I finally abandoned the walking boots on Friday and got some wellies - ditched them again on Sunday though lol

Glastonchavvy or is it Glastonscally as most of the chavs I came across seemed to be scousers (nothing against scousers just seemed to be the case)

Glastobritishy like it def sums up the 5 days

Weather 7th Heaven hmmm

Glastonf**kifellinthemuddy like it but not family friendly

Glastonshitweather again not family friendly and not really accurate - if you think Sunday was shit then what is good weather? too hot, too cold, too muggy, too wet, too windy maybe it should be Glastontoo

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
