2013 Headliners

Ok, I'll play. Probability of playing in my opinion:

Arctic Monkeys 85% (Friday night)

Radiohead 50% (another fallback option)

WTT 25% (not just yet for me)

Fleetwood Mac 50% (I could see them subbing someone actually)

Kings of Leon 25% (probable last resort and there's a Glasto sized hole in the tour I think)

Mumford & Sons 25% (Reading/Leeds exclusive?)

Lady Gaga 75% (Sunday night 'Beyonce' slot)

Rolling stones 90% (despite the rumours I still think they'll play)

The Killers 0%

Rihanna 0%

Dizzie Rascal 0% (but stranger things have happened. Probable sub-headliner)

Muse 0%

Coldplay 0% (if they headline again this year the festival is in serious trouble)

Blur 0%

Green Day 0%

Pearl Jam 25% (more out of hope than anything)

PRINCE 10% (to finish Sunday would be amazing!)

I truly hope that, if the Stones have fucked Glastonbury around, that the Eavis's learn from it and book some of the acts that have played good shows and shown loyalty to Glasto in the past. And preferabably their past showings wouldn't have been as headliners.

Either that or go out and get good, credible acts that may normally be considered too small.

Examples:

Some examples: Kasabian, Cohen, Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros, Paul Simon, Black Keys etc. Some of those (esp Kasabian) might not be everyone's cup of tea, but they've shown love to Glastonbury before, and are unlikely to act like prima donnas...

WTT - Kanyes having a baby around Glastonbury so that lowers the chances id think. The Killers will have an exclusive with IOW so they are out of the running, For Coldplay to headline two festivals running they'd have to be really really stuck

good idea to come up with a list of current rumours, but the implementation of a ratings system is what sets it apart from the usual predictions.

This isn't a bad shout actually! they might not fit the festival, but with a new album out, they may tour? i'm not sure, not alot of festivals grab them.

Imagine if they subheadlined reading and leeds again :') I can't believe they played last year in the exact same spot, 2 years later with pretty much the same setlist. w*nk.

looking over the last pages i was quite interested to see a few headliner sized names thrown about - Madonna especially. i hadn't even thought about her but she very well could be one of them. apart from the ten or so names that are constantly being thrown about on here there must be SOME other possibilities

Enter shikari have grown in festival popularity from reading and leeds.

I think it won't be long till they sub & then eventually headline the festival

One more album (which is being produced right now) they will bump up to third rate headline/ sub.. depending on how good the album is.

One more album after that, Reading and leeds headliners.

as much as i'd love it to be three of the bands that are currently being thrown about, i'm well preparing myself for it to be somebody nobody anticipated. chances are slim but if we manage to get to lineup day without knowing even just one of the headliners and then it's somebody nobody anticipated, that'd be incredible

please let kasabian at least be playing at Glastonbury. If ever a band deserved to headline its them, have shown lots of love for Glastonbury and have been amazing when I have seen them before. They haven't played their latest album there yet and I cant see any other festivals on their radar this year.

I wouldn't fancy Kasabian or Paramore. I'm still sore that my friends and I skipped Weezer at Reading 2010 because they all wanted to 'rest' for Paramore and then it was totally boring and average while by all accounts Weezer were amazing.

Kasabian are just... Bleh.
