Strictly constantly troll people - I think they're getting wound up with being mistaken for an official site. As for Thrash Hits stuff, I'd say it's certainly Sonisphere related, Hugh who runs the site tweeted:

Y'know that feeling you get when someone gives you a festival "rumour" and you're just not sure if they're fucking with you or not? THAT.

And then:

@ScuzzBeez It's so mental that if I say it I'll look like King Chump if it's not legit. But it's *just* the right side of believable too!

Just a few hours ago, he also tweeted Dok saying it was good seeing him the other night there - Dok is the art director/media guy for Team Soni, and Thrash Hits historically have known quite a lot in regards to soni...

not to be funny be there is the odd time others have info of something that you don't. today being an example where someone might have had some headliner info that you instantly poured water over and then had to back track.

I don't ever claim to be the only place that gets 'secret' info.

I poured water over that one on the basis of what is a very regular occurrance, of people using what I've said to post bollocks. It was far more likely to be that (and still might be) than an accurate post - if we took belief in all posts of supposed leaks being accurate then R/L this year has about 100 headliners. ;)

I back tracked on that because very shortly after I'd posted what I'd posted I got some info from somewhere which suggested - note suggested, and not anything more - there might be something to it. I'm more than prepared to put myself out there with what I'm thinking, and that gives twats like you who have a different version of everything every five minutes on the basis of nothing the opportunity to shoot me down when you'd be better off shooting yourself if accuracy is what you crave.

You also, the other week said you might have to eat your words.

yep, I said I might. Turns out that I won't. Whoopy do.

I'm not saying your not reliable but it is the case than people who say they have info, genuinly the odd time do

yep, just the odd time of of many thousands that don't.

Which gives me a very strong basis for taking what they say as bollocks, particularly when it very often follows a pattern (as this one did) of seeming to be riding off the back of something I've said but which later gets proven beyond all doubt as bollocks.

    • NIN and Bjork for sure 😉
    • When are  the stage splits ??
    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
