Pulling at Glasto

Me and my mates were discussing the prospect of meeting someone at Glasto.

One was no way... and decided that every bloke would have a cheesy willy by day 3, the others said it depended on the moment.

So has any of you lot ever pulled or even met a current Other Half at Glasto.

In tents sex? he he :D

My mates obviously been going out with the wrong men

I've pulled a couple of times too. I even met up one guy in real life and he turned out not to be the like minded individual that I percieved over the festival! Maybe I had my happy Glasto goggles on :D

Plenty of places to have a shower too! Just head to tipi field and book in for the sauna, £10 for 4 days, or £5 a day - well worth it!

But never been single at glasto, but plenty mates seem to pull - depends what you are after.

Personally I prefer the company of my best mates and the music. Can pulll any weekend of the year. Why waste time trying at Glasto!

When I was single I pulled a few times but never went "all the way" - too much hassle at a festival IMO.

When I go to the festivals now with the wife we dont even bother bumping uglies for the same reason, too much mess/hassle at a festival, rather leave ruining her for the other 51 weeks of the year.

ha ha this thread is starting to make me look like I'm a bit desperate for a shag  I was just wondering what other people get up because I'm nosy like that. Love that story hannahimoore, I love a bit of romance. :D

From the get fit thread: Cheese is ok with the Atkins plan, but you might have to hold fire on the ritz crackers. :P

Pulling at glasto sounds ok with me, I can hold my breath for a very long time, but sex on a half deflated blow up bed must be like trying to have a threesome with Jabba the Hut.

Pulling seems to fall into two categories..

1, One night stands

2, meeting "the one"

(when I say the one I mean the one for a lasting relationship ie a few mths +)

I like meeting new people you get to mingle with people your'd normally not meet, so yes all for pulling in that sense..

But the night stand sense I think i'd pass on that!

I hope that makes sense!!

My instinct is to say that beyond Thursday night... doesn't sound so charming. But then I'm completely discounting consumption.

Maybe they should give you a badge or something when you have a shower there. "I'm clean! Look! I'm certified! Saturday 2.24pm!"

I didn't even really think about it last year. First Glastonbury and a little bit blown (ha) away by it all, and actually never spent too much time in one place, or really beyond the friends I was with.

I go to Glasto with my boyfriend, but I suppose that's very different... But then again, I am a little iffy about personal hygiene, so I could never have a one-night stand with someone, especially not a festival. I don't think I would find many fellow mysophobes :P

    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
