Had they not clashed with U2 and were on sunday night i would of seriously considered watching; I chose Bootleg beatles over Gorillaz last year and was not disapointed - a sing along from start to finish;-

Your getting as close to the real thing as you can get at glastonbury... you will never see the beatles, and very unlikely to see pink floyd, so if its your music then why not relive it in a great atmosphere amongst likeminded fans... Their both making a good living, people still want it, its fun, why not i say

A couple of points:

1) The acoustic stage (where i work behind) is badly named, poorly branded and very low key - publicity-wise. However... it is a full size tent with proper loud amps, electic pick-ups, bass guitars, full size drum kits, backing vocals and everything!

2) Last year I had to work from 4am on saturday so i went to bed around 11pm on friday. the electic mix of pyramid gorillaz PLUS the 5000+ croud belting our bootleg beatles songs was one of those "had to be there monments" in my ever so small tent.

I think Brit Floyd will be very very popular. Afterall, we are just a short stroll from the back of Morrissey et al.

DO NOT under estimate the power of the covers band to the masses!

After watching the bootleg Beatles at glasto in 07 I wouldnt go to another cover band (however good) at the fest. They belted out the hits but I somehow felt cheated and if I could turn back time, I would go and watch the who, despite the torrential rain!

i still have a t-shirt, and video of this concert. i was well into floyd as a teenager, whilst my peers were into duran duran, madonna and the like. i never got to go to this concert :-( the ex did, but someone (guess who) had to stay home and look after the little uns (i started young ;-)). i'll be hoping to get somewhere near for this, as i've heard aussie floyd were a good tribute act (this being some sort of spin off) and i'm not fussed about missing u2.

Saw Brit Floyd las Sunday in Aberdeen and it was a very good show. Probably as close to the real thing as you're likely to get. Went to Bootleg Beatles last year at acoustic stage and place was rammed.

Wouldn't miss U2 at the Pyramid for the world nut if they're not your thing, Brit fLoyd well worth thinking about. Any other night I would have picked them but not over U2

I'm definitely considering giving the rest of the stages a miss to catch these guys. Right next to the late night area on-way entrance as well so it'll be a good option I reckon.

Anyone know what time the acoustic stage finishes? Is it before/after the Pyramid/Other?

    • I found the vibe a little different to recent editions.. definitely an older crowd, less queer, less Spanish.. certainly has something to do with the lack of Glastonbury this year. And I felt Saturday was a little overcrowded. I‘ve never seen Mordor as full as last night for the xx and Gorillaz. Did not enjoy that too much.
    • Not my favourite year either, despite liking the lineup more than previous years. Not sure what it was, I guess Thursday really put the brakes on things. But yeah I'll be back next year hopefully. And maybe Massive Attack will return...
    • E-mail summarizing Saturday - Primavera Sound 2026 Journal Day 3. As in previous days, it's going to be on the website soon, I think.
    • I was surprised as well. I met more than 20 different people on both Friday and Saturday that had come in reusing QR codes.
