How come they announced so little of the NME stage?

Kaisers shouldn't be third? We're talking about a band who have subbed twice. 3rd is easily justifiable for them.

I don't have a problem with them being third. They look a bit out of place on the Sunday though, given the bands surrounding them.

Bullet into the Kaisers is pretty funny, I do love both mind.

Right after the a bit more time to look up the line-up, I think it is actually really good. Four bands I want to see on Friday (Angels and Airwaves, Crystal Castles, Foster the People and then THE CURE!) Five bands on Saturday (Mystery Jets, Golf Wang, The Vaccines, The Cribs and then At The Drive-In!) And finally 5 more bands on Sunday (Eagles of Death Metal, The Gaslight Anthem, The Horrors, The Black Keys and then of course Foo Fighters!)

Which bands on the mainstage are worth watching? I've found that most bands lower than 3rd just often don't cut it live on the mainstage, obviously theres been exceptions eg gaslight anthem... But last year when I watched friendly fires it was just so bad compared to seeing them at glastonbury 11, an in the R1 tent 09. So my question is, which bands do people know can pull off a mainstage slot lower down the bill?

I seen them open for Muse the other year, they seemed like a brilliant live band but it wasn't really my music, I was more impressed by Band of Skulls who also supported Muse that night and are funnily enough next to PABH on the line up

Where the fuck are rancid?

I knew I shouldn't of got my hopes up for a band like pixies or smashing pumpkins to sub the cure.

Also vaccines and bombay bicycle club wtf whoevers idea it we too put them that high deserves to be shot. So far there are two bands I really want too see on Friday and saturday(cure & ATDI possibly the shins as they sound good. Sunday's really good for me though how are kaisers above Bullet when they struggle to sell academy's and bullet last time they toured played about 6 arenas. The whole lineup looks so bland and dull pretty much every band is a repeat where are the interesting bands I have never heard of like the national or the curve balls like madness. Really disappointed with the lack of bands like korn, rancid or jack white. The whole lineup is just bland.

Oh this post has ended up a bit of a rant. I'm absolutely over the moon though that at the drive in are in a tent and opposite kasabian

Going to add my support to Pulled Apart By Horses.

Were fantastic when I saw them at Underage last year (although I didn't catch the full set). Crowd was intense. Going to be a great way to open the main stage.

Too big?

Until people started talking about how wonderful it was that they'd reformed I hadn't even been aware that they'd existed in the first place. Just to check it wasn't just me I've asked lots and lots of people, and no one I know knows of them either.

So it seems pretty clear to me that they were a nothing band and the way to excite the kids with a band nowadays is to say they've just reformed and the kids will lap it up believing they must be something special.

Now that might be me being extremely foolish and perhaps I lived in a non-musical pit for the 5 seconds they made an impact in whatever year they were extremely briefly famous, but given that Annie Mac announced The Cure as "reformed two years ago" with the announcement last night yet The Cure have never stopped existing in any reality I've lived in (tho they've played only occasionally), I really reckon I'm onto the way to market stuff to today's foolish youf.
