It'll be a while before they bring out another album, reckon they'll all go off and have babies now. Though that'll make it more special if Glastonbury get them next time.

So it's not like they'll never headline (as Toilet Duck said) just that we'll have to wait a while.

I like the more positive turn this thread has taken.

Tunnels, Suburban War, Power Out, Modern Man. Wonderful songs all.

I do think Ready to Start is possibly the best piece of songwriting Win has done. It's not my favourite track but it is a piece of brilliance.

Can't wait for the jazz album.

Is anyone going to Hyde Park? I just bought my tickets...they were so good at Reading last year, if it wasn't for my fan boy obsession with the Libertines then they would have been the best band I saw last year!

Seen them 4 or 5 times. They weren't that great at Glasto.

Yes, the only 'lesser' songs I'd say they have are Ocean of Noise, Black Wave/Bad Vibrations, 7 Kettles, Rococo, Sprawl II and Crown of Love.

And they're all very good.

Sprawl II is as good as anything they've written. Just a fantastic ending to the suburbs.

Yeah i agree they werent that great or maybe just the experience wasnt that great due to the terrible sound in 2007 but a twilight or headline pyramid slot this year would have been the stuff of legend. Im still not gonna believe they're not playing until its official but i am an eternal optimist

I think they may have been spooked by the size of the crowd in 2007. Im not that big a AF geek but I think it was the biggest crowd theyd played to at that stage by some distance.
