Sounds about right, people claiming Arcade Fire or other such high profile acts would be put on the Other Stage vs U2 was laughable.

it's your take on things which is perhaps laughable.

It's necessary for 'high profile acts' to be performing on all of the other stages when the day's main headliner is on stage, so that the crowd is split around the site and not causing a dangerous situation at any one stage.

I understand that and agree with what you are saying, which is why acts like: Primal Scream, Flaming Lips, Pet Shop Boys, Franz Ferdinand have headlined in the past, as they will draw a large, but not dangerously large crowd to the field. I believe if an act like Arcade Fire at their present status were named as Other Stage headliners, the crowd they would draw could create a dangerous situation.

the numbers to see them when headlining Reading last year suggests different, but I recognise that they'd do better at Glasto.

But the simple way of doing it is this: Are they as big a draw as U2?

Not a bleeding chance - they'd be very lucky to get an audience that was 1/4 of the size as U2 will get.

Surprised they'll be allowed after their last performance. Not only did they get kicked off stage but the pre gig TV interview with Mani and the Jagger/Richards wannabe was a mess too.

Great gig though mind you, a total mess. I was in tears laughing.

I saw Screamadellica back in Nov at Earls Court , a pretty good show.

There will be plenty of people that will be willing to dance to a seminal drug album than be preaced at

by a bloke with a dodgy back.

And after a whole days drinking and partying , what a better come up then come down on t'Other Stage

:):):)

I'd prefer it but I can't see it, especially a Screamadelica/greatest hits set like they have been doing. I've been at TITP twice when they've been playing the King Tuts tent which I'd say is roughly the size of the JPS and each time they've had to close it off due to overcrowding. Now I know it's Scotland but Glastonbury has twice the punters, along with the draw of it being 'Screamadelica' they might need a bit more room.

    • Guitarricadelafuente was bloody brilliant tonight. This is going to be a very Spanish focussed year for me. Rusowsky dragging out Las Ketchup on Saturday has the potential to be a Prima magic moment.
    • £112 for standard entry. No thank you.
    • Meanwhile Gracie Abrams is £92 for the cheapest with the average price around £160 for lower tier and £103 standing.   First time in a while I've gone from a definite yes to a definite no on price alone.   Amble was £31 this morning.
