well just got the news that bjorks headlining, gobsmacked as I didnt think she would do a big outdoor festival this year.

was at the manchester gig last nigt and was out of this world and is a genius.

will be interesting on the reviews though(wont be there as im on family holiday that same week), as I cant see how the current set up would work on a big stage. I presume it will be more of a "typical" band set up and a more career spanning set.

either way her new stuff is awsome.

Rob said that she'd be doing some songs from Biophilia but her set will be mostly made up of greatest hits. I don't think it's very risky for an artist like Bjork but it'll probably keep a lot of people unfamiliar with her lesser known songs happy, which is fair enough.

I couldn't give a monkeys about what Bjork plays to be honest. She's not my cup of tea and I'll probably check out DJ Shadow instead so whatever. I just hope those going to see her will enjoy it. Same with Pendulum really - a lot of people have complained about them but there's always going to be something alternative to check out instead.

How do you know this sort of stuff? Is it readily available info? I'm desperate to get some sort of idea about clashes as I'm looking forward to seeing far too many acts, would be good to know who I'm probably going to have to miss!

The FAQs state:

What’s happening on the Thursday?

This year more Fields and Arenas will be open than ever before on Thursday – the Fantasy Field and Magic Meadow will be open from 6pm until 2am with a full bill of entertainment lined up for The Big Top brought to you by the incredible Back To The Phuture. More details here. You will also be able to catch the incredible Janelle Monáe on Thursday night!

Top of that FAQ:

"NB: The below details are for Bestival 2010. Most of the info will stay the same for Bestival 2011 and will be updated in due course."

would anybody be interested in buying tickets from me? I'm an official promoter for the festival, meaning I can get tickets without the online booking fee (around £10) I will deliver anywhere in the uk with recorded delivery or meet in London :)
