I've just had an email from Vodaphone saying tickets for Reading & Leeds will go on sale Friday 3rd December.

Are there any other sources that have been saying 3rd December? Seems strange that vodafone would be advertising the ticket date when I haven't even heard of any tie up they've had with FR. And even stranger that FR have decided to bring the date forward and haven't even brought it up with their customers until now. Especially considering their cusotmers are of the younger type, I suspect that a lot will struggle to get the money together at such short motice. You'd have thought they would have announced it earlier so people would be able to plan for it.

Festival Republic is set to offer customers exclusive ticket pre-sales through Vodaphone for all of their 2011 events.

Vodaphone VIP will enable its subscribers to buy Reading, Leeds, Latitude and The Big Chill tickets on Wednesday 1 December, 48 hours before they go on general sale on Friday 3 December.

The deal is likely to ruffle a few feathers, especially those of Reading and Leeds fans, as tickets are usually snapped up quickly and it is likely to limit the amount of passes available through general release.

The mobile phone company are giving away free SIM cards to those who wish to sign up.

VF putting the wrong on sale date is going to annoy folks, but I do see a lot of people signing up to vodaphoney off the back of this.

Meh! Its the end of March then, cus V is the start of March and its always nearly a month later
