100% agree the tweets look very genuine. I thought it was/half do still but... 4,000ish followers. For the semi-legendary Jarvis Cocker.

That's about half as much as Dan le Sac

apols if this has already been posted but this has been doing the rounds on the interwebs this week, it's a comic of the lyrics to Common People, and to tie it in with todays other topic on here, it's illustrated by Jamie Hewlett, now of Gorillaz.

Might be clutching at straws here but Jarvis (if it is him) asked people how they feel about the band playing songs from before His n Hers, and then added that they might just play Prince songs... a reference to Prince being at Glasto? He also mentioned Bryan Ferry too

But if you look at past tweets, there's references to stuff he ended up doing on his 6Music show that week, and comments on the stuff he was doing when he had a residency playing at that art gallery... if it is an impersonator it's a very well informed one

Yeah, I dunno, I really don't. and to be honest, given my betting record, me having a punt on it not being real is all the conformation you need that it's 100% genuine...

    • Elastica posted last night teasing a return, wonder where they would play if they reformed?
    • I agree but anyone under Rodrigo would be a sub in reality, that day would sell out in under an hour whoever is subbing, in which case Wolf Alice would make a lot of sense   The more unrealistic part of the scenario at this point is Rodrigo headlining
    • All you can say is...     If he couldn't convince nations that really would've benefitted from the short-term hit of an up-front £50mil payment by this time next year, what hope did he have?   Guess we'll now just have to monitor and see if this could derail Infantino's plans to be re-elected FIFA President next year.
    • Spider-Man: Brand New Day   Highlight was a bloke reacting to the post-credit scene by going "Holy f**k it's Tobey Maguire!" despite the scene having no reference to him at all. Which made my close-to-full screening of the film laugh a lot.   Film was pretty good. It was interesting as much as an exploration of the ramifications of the end of No Way Home and being about isolationism and male loneliness, which I thought it actually did quite well. Though I do ponder if I liked it as much as the other 3 Tom Holland Spider-Man movies. Sadie Sink was good tbf, while I also liked Jon Bernthal as Punisher, enough that I might go watch his Disney+ shows.   Seem to have had a Marvel kick recently having also watched Thunderbolts and Shang-Chi, both of which I thought were pretty good.
    • Wolf Alice won't get headliner for Reading either, they will sub if they play, that is where their level has stopped I feel. Both TFG and Skyvip for the big shows this year was just a stretch too far. Every headliner this year is bigger than them too I'd say.   Agree with Capaldi I don't think Yungblud will be at Reading. I would guess Bludfest 3 or Download.
