With Suede playing a few comeback shows over the last year and releasing a Best Of compilation, surely there must be a chance they'll play? They haven't played and British festivals since they came back so I'd imagine if they were to, Glastonbury would be the place for them to play?

Perhaps they'll wait and see how there O2 gig goes before deciding on thier future but I really hope they decide to keep going and I hope they get booked for Glastonbury.

Interesting. I can't imagine who'd give them a big pay day really. They certainly aren't big enough to headline the Main at any of the big fests. I don't know where they'd fit in at TITP or V. Perhaps Radio 1 headliners at Reading and Leeds?

yep, I agree, it's difficult to see a fest they're a perfect fit for.

But I think the 'reform rule' will still be the major factor in play here, so they'll go for the money - which won't be Glastonbury.

There were some rumblings about Suede popping up at G last year I seem to recall, which came to nothing.

Have they got Bernard Butler back in the line up? If not, then it just won't be the same IMO. They lost what made them special when he left.

I got into them when Coming Up (their best album IMO) came out so the Suede lineup they have now is the Suede lineup I've always known. Richard Oakes was a great replacement for Butler.

Glastonbury is the only UK festival I can see them fitting into to be honest. While critically they are well remembered, they seem to be a bit unknown to many modern day youngsters, unlike say Blur/Oasis. I'd hate to see a half empty tent at Leeds / Reading / T / V.

I dont think they are desperate for the money - they reunited for charity and said they'll continue doing it until it stops feeling special.

I think they might play Glasto as only there will there be the biggest number of fans that remember them in their hayday. The kudos derived from a good performance there will then give them the oppertunity to continue to go further onto better payed appearances elsewhere.

but they're not interested in going "onto better payed appearances elsewhere". It's a limited reform.

I saw them at the royal Albert hall for the teenage cancer trust gig they did and they we're brilliant, Bret looks like he hasn't been away and he's got so much energy and enthusium for his songs, puts a lot of the new bands to shame. I don't think they are back for a payday though, apart from the 02 gig they are doing they aren't playing many money making gigs. Would love to see them in the john peel as headliner

I've got tickets to see them at the o2. I still cant decide whether to go or not. I used to like them quite a bit back in the day, but this has the potential to be really awful. They were rank last time I saw them. Didnt brett have a weaird episode on stage last time they were at glastonbury?

And are they really an erana band? I'd much rather seem them at Brixton or somewhere.
