Jackone's update

Summary

Not that much has changed, Some rain or showers possible up to Thursday and possibly Friday, looking drier and more settled over the weekend, with a chance of some warmer weather.

The score remains a 6 (0=dustbowl, 10=mudbath) , no dustbowl, and no mudbath,

ECM 12Hz

Synoptically in line with the general theme, Friday sees pressure ridge in from the South West. Saturday also sees riding High Pressure from the South West this becoming more dominant on Sunday.

So showers likely Wednesday and Thursday, turning drier over the weekend.

UKMO 12hz

The theme as per the other models, however, not so settled on Sunday with the High pressure further east, perhaps allowing low pressure to also push further east.

Weeks and weeks of NFR NFC seem to be doing the trick, if I could be bothered I'd be attaching a lovely pic of Heidi Klum.

I've just about finished packing before heading back to Gloucestershire tomorrow evening, then make the trip down early doors Wednesday!

Keep this positivity going, it's going to be epic!! ;)

Let's face it when everyone turns up on Wednesday, its not going to take much to churn up the already sodden grass. And if there is much more rain it will get pretty boggy.

IIRC 2007 didn't have ANY rain in the lead up, or indeed on the 1st day yet turned to quagmire within 24 hrs.

Did LuciousLucy say something about this being very similar to what happened in 1997? Two weeks worth or rain/showers, then it hit the festival everything was dry but the damage was already done. Granted the drainage system is now improved since then.

:( guh guys COME'ON!! Literally I know you might call me an idiot for this but can anyone with shit news or forecasts bugger off? As this is a thread for positivity! Especially if you're weather facts are inaccurate. From all the forecasts we can see its not going to be a dream, but its not a nightmare either

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
