Long time lurker, coming out of the woodwork....

I'm praying for sun as on site today it was VERY muddy in places. The ground is generally soft, but where the mud/standing water has taken hold it's pretty bad. Pedestrian Gate B was a quagmire this morning.

The site is particularly bad where there has been a lot of traffic/footfall.

The sun came out this afternoon and you could see things drying up.

We need it to dry out before the wednesday otherwise the ground will mash. The ground can't take much more water. Hot sun please.

Annoyed at the sheer optimism from people such as Emily Eavis. Sugarcoating helps nobody. From the videos/info the place is clearly very damp, and basic festival knowledge tells me that damp grass + 200,000 = mud. And huge amounts of it.

Don't be fooled. Bring swamp gear.

It's June not January. The ground will dry up a great deal by Wednesday, even if there is rain tomorrow. It just is.

Of course gate entrances are muddy now - lorries have been driving through them all week.

Think some people need to stop worrying, relax and let nature take its course. By Friday evening we'll all by laid on the grass, slaughtered and lapping up the late sunshine.

That's not PMA, it's the basic physics of nature.

Hi have been on site today and the main vehicle routes are muddy whilst the basic grass bits are in good nick. That said they were stopping people driving on the grass as it was cutting up. I think if we get a good chunk of rain in the week of rain in the week it will be a bogger. A bit of mud does not ruin the festi they only thing that kills it is extended rain showers that make it tricky to get about - 2007/1998. I think we are going to avoid this as the forecast is perking up for the rest fo the week.

Another thing that is making me optimistic is that the forecast has been for a bit of rain today and it has been proper blue skies here in the west all day so perhaps they are being pessimistic after all.

Chin up my lovlies.

I know I am in Wiltshire, but today has been rather lovely after yesterdays deluge. Managed to mow lawn, followed by having a BBQ while sitting on the grass! I have no idea where the wet stuff went.

I am still feeling optimistic that even if we have a bit of a damp start, it will turn out alright! :)

    • I decided to goto bed early for the Aussie game rather than stay up for Scotland. I don't regret my decision, I also love the complete over reaction during the world cup when a player has 1 good game, that Watford winger is now everyones dream signing. Its also funny when clubs get into the hype and end up overpaying for someone who then does nothing in the prem.

    • I read the Kerrang review and they didn’t seem overly positive. The definition of a 6 out of 10.
    • Interesting the stat guys say 3 points and -3 goal difference is where it gets to 50/50 territory in terms of going to the last 32. If Scotland lose their last 2 at best they are on -1, play like they did yesterday and they could take a heavy loss.   However thinking about it positively get 4 points from the last 2 games and the group is won! Have heard a few saying Scotland should just park the bus next 2 games, but not sure they have the players to do it. From my perspective they could really do with a decent defensive midfielder to add balance, but not sure if they have one in the squad. They also need significantly more from Mctominay who I thought was poor, but understand he has been unwell.
