So from the recent runs then, we're a but Switzerland at the minute - not quite French or German and unable to commit to course of action. Ever since I found out that Chocolate and Cuckoo Clocks aren't in fact a swiss invention I'm forced to link to this:

The NetWeather Summer forecast has been updated here.

I particularly don't like this bit:

There will be some spells of more settled weather, and we think these are more likely to occur during the period 15th- 20th June and 30th June through 4th July.

A friend who studied such things advises thec following:

- Forecasts more than about four days out are meaningless.

- Glastonbury is also situated in between two main weather systems and can change quickly with relatively small shifts.

So what we need to do is:

- make sure everybody takes waterproofs so as not to tempt the rain gods to smite someone with torrential rain

- all sacrifice a bottle of cider to same by pouring over a make shift altar of upturned wellies smeared with sun tan lotion - pre consumtion is optional and probably desirable

As someone who's also studied these things, I can confirm that you're friend speaks the truth. At this stage praying to a weather God has exactly the same chances as looking at a weather forecast. However, last year we had all sorts of terrible predictions and based on sheer willpower, German pictures (and French to dissuade the bad forecasts) and endlessly checking inaccurate weather forecasts, we generated a scorcher. It would be foolhardy to change a successful plan.

PS It should be noted that I did study meteorology a long time ago when offering sacrifices to rain gods was still on the curriculum.

not sure I would call them good as there is rain around but they are improving slightly with each run. Be good if they are trending towards a dry end to June which is what alot of people are suggesting
