Looking through some old festival magazines the other day. I'd forgotten that the Chems played Dance East in 05. Anyone here see that? I saw the Stripes that night. I'm guessing the tent was rammed beyond belief.

That's what I posted the other day, I know it's unlikely to have 3 dance headliners on the other stage but then again all 3 pyramid headliners are shaping up to be guitar/rock bands. You never know...

I see that the Chems have just been confirmed for Rock Werchter 2011 (wherever that is) so thay are doing some festivals for next year. Fingers crossed for Glasto then.

I'm still waiting for them to announce some of their own dates for a UK tour in 2011.

How come they released Further last year and still not toured to promote it? I thought that it was written in rock n roll law that a band releases an album and then go on tour to play it. Anyone have any ideas?

They did tour? They did a residence at Roundhouse in Camden among others.

Called me old fashioned but shouldn't a tour, visit a large number of places within a country, not just a few nights at one one venue. There is a clue in the word 'tour'!

I'd say it's looking very likely they'll play, especially after the rumours of them playing this year. I'll be really happy if they do.

They still promoted it though, by playing five nights at one of the biggest venues in the Capital of England. There aren't many venues where TCB can actually play now (due to staging etc.) so I'd imagine that tours will be pretty impractical.

I would love to see them next year after missing out in 2007. The youtube video of them doing Do It Again that year makes me tingle It looks promising what with them already announcing other festivals and with an album still to properly promote

yep - after all, Emily did say earlier this year that they'd be at Glasto next year, and with them now confirmed as playing dates both before and after Glasto, it seems exceedingly likely that they'll be at Glasto.

Off the top of my head, they've only played on Sunday once.

2004 they were on the Friday, and the time they headlined the Pyramid around 2001, I'm 99% they were on the Friday too.

it was 2000 they headlined the Pyramid - but you're defo right about it being the Friday.
