Amazing Grace

How sweet the sound

That saved a wretch like me

I once was lost

But now am found

Was blind but now I see

'Tis Grace that taught

My heart to fear

And Grace my fears relieved

Now precious dear

That Grace appear

The hour I first believed

It's nice to see the members of the singles thread have given themselves a good telling off. I just hope they understand that it's not enough to just stop talking about their immoral lifestyles, they have to stop living it. But one step at a time, praise the Lord.

I'm Catholic and I am very sure that God didn't cause the deaths of those festival goers. Also I believe in balance, a bit from the bible and a bit from Monty Python for instance. But I would not say that you have to be married to have sex, I think it is an act intimacy so I would say that although you shouldn't go for anyone (Even if your off your head) I don't think you HAVE to be married.

Also I am new here so hi!

I have drunk a bottle of wine + a bit more, and it has been an extremely stressful day (long story, but the police were round not five minutes ago after we first needed their help Monday) BUT, troll poster or not, religious, atheist, or whatever any of you are, that work is surely one of the most timeless (enduring?) melody and lyric combinations ever.

I learned alot more from that movie than R.E anyway :P

But no i am sure its not phrased quite like that, but sex is ment to be used to make babies only, so therefore the church doesn't need to promote the use of condoms, as your ment to only have sex with the person your married to...its nothing evil really.

Although I don't think all priests are paedophiles, thanks toppo for answering back this extremist. You need to calm down W.W.J.D I mean is it really up to you to decide whether I am a good catholic. My best friend is gay and if I have a God who thinks it is wrong for him to have sex then he is no god of mine

What I'm interested in regarding this debate is as such:

What in a music festival would be frowned upon in the general ideals of Christianity? I understand that there are very many different interpretations of the religion so I realise that this is a difficult question to answer, but I'd associate a music festival with celebrating the ideas and creativity of others, to meet new people, to have fun in our short, fragile lives. You generally see more goodwill towards other people at Glastonbury than in a year in 'normal life' if you will.

I'm quite weary about bringing sexuality into this as well, but what would be seen as wrong as someone finding someone to love and care for in their life, regardless of gender? I'm not going to attack peoples outlook on their religion as that's a very personal choice and very personal interpretation of their faith, but I'd appreciate an answer that goes further than just "it's against the word of the bible" - I don't mean to patronise as I know that most people won't do this, but it's still something I wonder about.

Prince Charles, Princess Eugene & other members of our German royal family since the war are the product of Dr. Mengeler's Eugenics experimentation in which thousands of Jews were experimented on in Hitlers attempts to create a master race. The Royals funded hitler's rise to power. There was even DNA taken from the Turin Shroud during Nazi control of Turin.

I tend to agree with you here ... If one states that they are Catholic, but then chooses which aspects of Catholicism fits their lifestyle, whats the f**king point? You would obviously not fear god so you might as well give it up ... If you decide to be Catholic (and I don't mean brought up as one as a child, I mean making the informed decision) and it turns out that aspects of your life go against the catholic grain, then surely you have to question your faith.

I am not saying that I do these things, I am saying that although I'm religious I don't agree with anything the church says, I mean I'm not mindless and have an opinion. I like the catholic morals, that is why I am catholic and will probably stay that way. But I don't think that because I'm catholic I can tell you what's evil and what's not. I think it is your choice to be honest and I don't think God will kill you for that.

You sound like an intelligent, moral, pleasant and civil person. Why oh why do you call yourself Catholic? Arguably one of the most vile, corrupt, narrow minded, cowardly, and backward religions. Do you mean "Catholic morals" like this? http://www.guardian....ca-condoms-aids http://www.ontopmag....e=1&Category=24

I don't mean to be blunt, but reading your posts I think I can confidently say that you are NOT a Catholic. Why pick/ chose and ignore/tolerate parts of a religion when the parts of it you support are simply already within you as a human being. YOU are good, because you are good, not because a book/ clergy tells you to be. Peace x

Under age drinking, drug taking, drunkeness, public nudity, drunken dirty mini skirted sluts sleeping with dirty drug addled men they have just met. I could go on but you get the point.

Even if you don't partake in any of the above or any other immoral activities, by purchasing a ticket you are sponsoring it.
