So potential headliners for UK 'rock' festivals next year that are relevant include:

Soundgarden

Avenged Sevenfold (Second Stage)

Ozzy

Linkin Park (still big enough? New album was complete crap)

Foo Fighters (Doing own shows, could play others)

Red Hot Chili Peppers (V Festival?)

Tool (Sonisphere would want them most likely)

Muse (are they 'Download' enough?)

Iron Maiden

QOTSA (Big Enough?)

Rob Zombie (Second Stage)

Korn (Sonisphere Under 'Tallica)

My Chemical Romance (Doubt Download would be risking them again, Prob Reading/Leeds)

Metallica (Only do Sonisphere)

Stone Sour (Second Stage at Sonisphere)

Bon Jovi (Doing Own Tour)

The Strokes (Reading/Leeds or V)

Green Day (Reading? Looks like it was set up for them to headline this year but it didn't come off for some reason)

I don't think its gunna be Bon Jovi. Even tho AC has been twitting about them, I'd say that they're just gunna do HRC, and he's tweeting so that you're up for Bon Jovi and then when they don't play you go aww and I was looking forward to them now, hell I'll just get a HRC ticket as well

I still think Blink 182 shouldn't be ruled out, I really can see them at Rock AM Ring next year so they would be up for Download too surely?

Van Halen could still play though, but they might be a HRC ac as well, whereas Blink wouldn't be IMO

    • They're handing out ear plugs at the mordor, so maybe the theory that there's no show during their set due to noise bleed is not that far fetched

    • Plenty of good stuff this month. Very difficult choice, but I'm going with some of those I've listened to most (the sunny weather may also have been influential)...   1. The Coral - 388 2. Kurt Vile - Philadelphia's Been Good to Me 3. The Lemon Twigs - Look For Your Mind!   Others I've been enjoying... Laurie Anderson's live album, Broken Social Scene, Pigeon, The Black Keys, etc
    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
