Err it was the same year as their appearance on Glee - and after the American series had become a success in the USA.

Anyway, Maiden announcement today - should give a few clues to when they may play festivals, and Rush last night in the classic rock interview said European tour late spring which could put them in the frame for Download too.

Okay fairdoos, foos do love reading and leeds but i think it's download, reading dont have a history of booking bands that have own shows, a guy who i reckon is to be believed says its download, i no everyone says they no etc but that reading guy last year got enough ppl believing him and he was right.

ozzy was loved when appeared on the screens this year, i reckon he will, and they've never booked him personally which i what they wanted to do this year.

van halen - i understand - but would u see them below bon jovi?

linkin park - dont think they will, fair to say most download fans wont want at all after album, MCR wont due to last time.

blink 182 - a chance i reckon

Foos have already said they're doing multipul dates in the UK next year including festivals. I expect Foos at Download, IOW, TITP and Oxegen, and they'll be all throughout Europe too.

Van Halen under Bon Jovi would be a great booking mind, think that would be a strong booking, but I still expect both at just HRC only. But who knows eh?

You expect them to do 4 major festivals + their own 2 shows? Are you some find of fanboy-groupie? ;)

More importantly though, Overkill have today been announced for Sweden Rock Festival, if they dont get announced for Download, it will be Sweden for the 5th time for me :D

How does me expecting them to play 4 festivals make me a fanboy groupie? ;)

TITP/oxegen same weekend right by their tour dates, usually you play one you play the other and they have no Scottish/Irish tour dates, surely they'll want to do something and then its IOW which they have played before and Download which I think they will have signed up to do after Dave and Taylor played last year.

Its CERTAINLY not out of the question, if anything your comments make you sound like a Foo Fighters hater.

efestivals has them down for all 4 I mentioned AND Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, thats seven festivals

They haven't done any dates for 3 years, 2 English shows of their own, 1 mainland English festival, 1 Scottish festival, 1 Irish festival and IOW [uk but not mainland] doesn't exactly sound like that much really.

Never looked likely either, if they made it a Four consecutive festival headline slots being the sole UK date(with the exception of Brixton Academy late 2007 and Dublin 02 last Summer) then fans would have been more than a little displeased..

Was never going to be anything less than arena dates.

Never rule Maiden out they are Donnington favourites with many, saw Linkin Park last week and were better than expected and better than i remember at download so still a possibility, Foo Fighters are still strong contenders regardless of them selling out 2 dates at MK, but i really hope it's ozzy but gut feeling tells me he will be at Sonisphere.

I could see Ozzy doing High Voltage next year possibly and with a possible Sabbath reunion mentioned in Classic Rock recently maybe a Sabbath set

I think the Headliners COULD be

Friday - Soundgarden

Saturday - Linkin Park

Sunday - Scorpions

There is no chance whatsoever of Scorpions headlining.

Surely Rock AM Ring won't have them on a European-wide festival exclusive?

I see a festival in Sweden just after Download has announced All Time Low

I'd say that makes them a strong rumour for Download

can't see them flying over to Europe from the States and not do all the fests, did Reading last year

And you know they're backed by Blink, I know efests haven't rumoured Blink, but Im really thinking Download are gunna book them.

From what I can gather, from translating from the official forum its only Beatsteaks that are an exclusive, the other acts are just playing the festival.

The other 2 Rock AM Ring headliners will be announced before tickets go on sale, and they go on sale in December, so shouldn't be long, I really think with Rock AM Ring announcing so early, and Swedenrock, Download will announce acts earlier than ever this year cus they'll be similar artists.

Lets set the record straight here and now

its 100% NOT Bon Jovi

In Germany all of Download weekend, got dates there the Friday and Sunday, seriously doubt they'd come over and do Download Saturday, so there you go, that rumour is DEAD.

Blink, Foos, and Ozzy is what im going with now :)

    • It can take around 30-45 mins to walk from the arena back to the transport hub with the crowds, depending on density. Allow even longer in poor conditions. I don't think you'd need to leave Linkin Park early though, you have at least an hour and 20 minutes to walk to transportation. I certainly wouldn't leave early in your shoes, knowing I can just walk to the airport if needs be (2 mile walk and another 30 - 45 min walk depending on your walking speed and conditions.) Maybe just don't linger too long for the toilet / food after Linkin Park have finished.  It will definitely make sense and all just fall into place on the night, don't worry too much and have a great time. The very worst that can happen is a little extra walking to the Airport Skylink bus stop, as those Skylink busses are 100% 24 hour. 🙂  GFS, ICON and ECMWF are ALL in agreement on the latest runs.... After a mildly moist Weds and Thurs, high Pressure building from Friday... Lets just hope they continue to agree... ☀️☀️☀️
