Rules out Kuyts peno anyway. Good from Toon in parts. Lucky Utd actually. Newcastles peno shout was a peno, Hernandezs wasnt.

This is genius:

It gets worse. According to the official SAFC website, Bruce is in full health and is ready for the forthcoming challenge of our next home defeat.

Nasty yeah. A whole year! Thought a cruciate was 6 months these days?

Its not all bad news for Sunderland though: "Meanwhile, Sunderland defender Titus Bramble has been told that he is unlikely to play again this season."

Our new owners did an interview on the local news the other night. Apparently it would be great if we could finish in the top 6 next season and win a cup and whilst they dont have any experience of running a football club, their son who is heading it up has always been very keen on the game.

crackin' Spurs/Arsenal game last night - shame the result suited neither team really.

But that Van Persie 'goal' that was ruled offside, was it offside, or not? I only half saw the replay of it, and from that it looked like he was on-side, but I didn't really see it clearly enough to be sure either way.

And another blank for Torres.

For all the good football they play at times, spurs have really flopped in the league over recent weeks and with their run in it looks like city will pip them to champions league by winning their home games. As for Arsenal same old problems, Im sure someone has the stats but they seem to have lost a lot of points from winning positions compared to man utd.

Did anyone watch the copa del ray, barca had loads of possesion but couldnt take advantage. Jose set madrid up perfectly and if anyone can knock barca out of the champions league its madrid. I just dont think man utd would have the patience to absorb barca pressure like madrid dod yesterday.

    • Pretty much all festivals lose out on major artists because of production limitations though. Glastonbury is no different to most other festivals.  Lots of acts can/will adapt their tour production to suit festival stages if they want to play them, but some acts with stage designs and routines just don't want to adapt, and would rather just stick with a rigid, well-rehearsed production and take the money for their own gigs, whether that's a lot more than playing Glastonbury, or slightly less than playing some other festivals (but with added complications). Trying to adapt the stage, layout, access to b-stages etc to accommodate a single headliner on a Friday and then having to change it all around for a Saturday headliner isn't really a goer when most headliners can just easily adapt their show to stay on a main stage, if they're so inclined. They have a year to figure out how to perform a song on a main stage and ditch a few dance routines out on a b-stage if they really put their mind to it. It's not that difficult......
