I saw on Sky News this morning that Fergie has been moaning (off camera) about Luiz's leg out to take down Rooney, saying Luiz should have been sent off .... yet if Luiz should have been off for that then Vidic should have been off in the first half when he did exactly the same thing to one of Chelsea's players and earnt himself a yellow. Same old Fergie.:lol:

That would've been Luiz's 2nd yellow, thats what he meant. Vidic got a yellow for his hack. Any excuse though Neil right?

I genuinely thought that Luiz got a yellow for taking Rooney down. But with both you and Steve saying the same thing I guess I'm wrong.

But I remember Luiz coming up to the ref and holding up one finger to indicate it was his first foul, and the ref then giving him a card.

If I'm wrong, I blame the beer.

find it funny that the centre half worth half the price has scored before torres. and a peach too!

yet every time i go on paddy power to bet, torres first scorer is one of the top 5 of the day.

Its not exactly like he was cheap!

You know Torres is going to slot at some point, I suspect once he gets one, he'll get a hatful too, I reckon Chelsea may go on a bit of a run now

aye, half the value of torres will never be cheap.

i dunno though, i can see a shevchenko of bigger proportions happening. of course he'll score, but i don't see him coming anywhere close to drogba's sort of record. and i'm sure he'll be on the treatment table before he gets a hatful.

Dunno mate, Utds away form is awful. They’ve only put in about 3 or 4 good performances this season, home and away. Even Wigan should’ve been ahead at the weekend if it wasn’t for Van Der Man, who is playing great this season. I think hes the best keeper in the league at the moment and Vidic is the best central defender. Without those two Utd wouldn’t be top at the moment.

you're not top of the league for nothing though. and i think the carling cup final tells you everything you need to know about arsenal. great team but there's something missing.

oh c'mon - I don't think the Carling Cup says much at all, at least not by itself.

Any team can lose any game, and Brum played great on the day - way above what anyone expected of them. Plus Arsenal had two of their better players out.

Where I do think the CC is going to impact is where Arsenal go after that defeat. They could fall apart, or it could spur them on to ensure they do better in the other competitions.

care to tell us how swapping the current situation of imperfect ref decisions but with perfect play from those refs decisions for a system with perfect ref decisions but imperfect play from those decisions within the game - which is what you're suggesting - is any improvement? ;)

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
