The icons from the profiles are overflowing into the posts.

While it's possible you're right, I think that's more likely to be a problem at your end with your browser's caching, cos it's been addressed.

Try forcing a full refresh by doing ctrl-F5, and then let me know if it's then gone or not.

It would look less terrible if full-screen - the skin (including the amended one coming soon) is designed to be used with enough space for it.

Anyway, the amended skin is just about ready, and will be installed in the next few hours. This is get rid of many of the skin related issues, including at least some of what you're suffering from.

How do I search the forum now? Can't find the field anymore.

Only just come back from holiday and still getting over the shock.

Adverts are highly annoying and do they really need to be on every single page?

Can really answer that myself.

You can't please everyone. I quite like the layout in general, the adverts between the posts are a bit annoying, especially when it comes up with 'file not found'. But none the less I can see why they are needed, after all servers have to get paid for somehow.

Good work.

the way the topics move away from your mouse when you hover over it is annoying

the advert between posts is annoying

the three pinned threads not being separated from the normal discussion threads is annoying

thas massive gap on the right hand of the screen once you've scrolled down is annoying

what is it people LIKE about this?

that's down to your own cursor positioning. If you have the cursor in a different place it doesn't happen.

thas massive gap on the right hand of the screen once you've scrolled down is annoying

massive? 120 pixels is not massive.

the advert between posts is annoying

less annoying than no forums at all.

That is the ONLY alternative.

no, its not

i'm on Chrome, and if i have efests as a small browser, when i put my cursor over the last thread page number it will expand and the numbers change position

how can i change the fact it expands?!

*and when you have the browser small (IE only half of the screen) and you have the advert space on the right with the silly amount of user profile space on the left, everything is ridiculously squished in the middle

which is annoying

I'm probably in the minority, but I'm happy enough. On the one hand the skin looks better now. On the other not being able to really use the forums in a smaller window is an irritation.

But all of that pales into insignificance next to the fact that a site owned by Neil is now hosting pro-England advertising. And I just clicked on it, which I presume means that Neil is profiting from England's success at the World Cup. :)

And before the inevitable "success" jibe comes, England have drawn with two far better teams than New Zealand.

You've clearly identified the answer, but prefer to annoy yourself by how you're choosing to use your browser. There is no perfect answer if a user chooses to f**k things up for themselves. That's outside of my control. ;)

There is no perfect layout to suit all users. The layout that exists is designed to be usable by the greatest number.

The icons overlapping the posts is fixed. I'm used to the ad in the middle of the page, the formatting is miles better, the options give you more choice - I'm pleased. The forums have been improved.

Good job, Neil. :)

    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
    • Citizenship via investment programs basically work by saying if you invest this much in our economy (say buy a property worth x) then we will either grant you citizenship or residency with a route to it. The EU has rules on how low countries can set the bar. Montenegro was one of the easier ones to get and they've had to tighten it up.
