How much Cash to a take?

We have a cool box for sausages and bacon for the first couple of days. Usually stretches to 3 days tbh because we take them heavily frozen and because theres quite a bit of frozen stuff it does keep itself pretty cold for a good length of time. Then we're onto tins of bangers and beans, hash browns, & stuff like that.

We usually have proper stuff Thurs & Fri. Maybe a combination of fresh & tinned on Saturday depending on what the weather has done, tinned on Sunday & then on Monday morning it's the good old full english at Michael Wood services with real cutlery!!!!

I think it was 2003 I hadn't been for a few years and was worried about running out of dosh so I took about £300 and to my surprise only spent a bit over £100. I don't take my own food (apart from a few non-perishable snacks like muesli bars) or booze but only usually eat one decent meal per day. And I used to go on the Thursday.

I always go on the train and carry all my stuff on my back, meaning buying things in the markets isn't really an option, plus I'm not one of life's shoppers so I'll probably not spend much time there anyway.

I took £250 last year and ended up taking out another £100 (which I nearly spent too) but did give the designated driver about £20 for fuel and to cover 1/3 of the parking pass. So I reckon £300 should do it. I ate out every meal and drank like a fish every day with little or no regard for the cost. Didn't do any shopping though - not my thing.

Okay, tell me if this is possible.

I have bought myself 3 crates of booze already (45 tinnies) and will be buying as much cereal bars/food that keeps as possible

I really want to do it on £100, I'm not interested in souveniers etc as I can't be arsed bringing them home.

Can I survive Wed-Sunday on £100 buying my dinners and the odd pint here and there?

Right no offence to anyone here :P , but you cant do glasto on less than a 100 quid if you are there for the week. I cant see it working, not without spending the whole time sponging off other people/mates. Which tbh aint exactly fair. I know some bring everything with them and do it military fasion...but you still need that all important cash to fall back on...god knows what gonna happen!

i fear im being to aggressive  ...but i f##king HATE sponges!

That's pretty much what me and my mates are aiming to do. Last year I think I took 200, shared a crate with my mate (went on the coach) and took a bottle of gin for myself and box of red wine that I shared with my other mate. Spent about £120 over the weekend (Weds night to Mon), and that was having a HEAVY one from the bars on Thursday night.

We also took 2 BBQ's and had bacon sandwiches 2 of the mornings.

Should be do-able this year on just £100

Me & the Mrs will probably take £350 which is what I took last year, but only spent £240. We take our own breakfast and probably about half the booze we consume, and spend the rest on site, we treat it as a sort of holiday so I dont mind spending the extra cash.

This year I am taking more of my own beer though because I ran out last year
