Hmmm... not sure about Delphic. Whilst I like a fair few of their songs, I saw them live a couple of times last year whilst they were supporting other people, and it wasn't a visually exciting set either time, everyone was just stood watching them bent over fiddling with their knobs...

Whilst not a favourite of mine or particulary a newcomer I have a feeling that this could be the year that Dizzee Rascal makes the step up to potential Headliner status ready to headline other festivals with a new album by the time Glastonbury has its fallow year in 2012.

Could be a big year for Mumford & Sons and Delphic, especially if the latter can get rid of some of their flaws regarding lack of crowd interaction. And I feel Plan B will draw a huge crowd on the Friday which will push him high up the JP for next year.

Thats a shame to hear that about Delphic, I was really looking forward to them in JP on Saturday late afternoon!! thought they would be really dancy and upbeat??!!

First saw them in July, and then September supporting Friendly Fires. It just felt really subdued both times. I don't know whether it'll be a bit more lively now they've put themselves out in the public arena a bit more so to speak & their songs will be a bit more recognisible, as at that time I'm pretty sure 99% of us had never heard any of their stuff. To be honest... it all just seemed to blend into the one song to me! But I put that down to me getting on a bit at the time, I've since grown a bit more fond of them!

I've caught them twice and the most recent (December) was the same. Next to no audience interaction and just standing there playing the songs.

I was disappointed with the album too. Some very samey tracks interspersed with 2 decent songs and only 1 really good one - Doubt.

Band of Skulls - saw them last week and they're excellent

Mumford and Sons are my pick from that lot.

Well, personally I think the marvellous Broken Bells will be impressive...kinda tucked away in The Park though, even though it's a high profile slot before The XX....I'm surprised there hasn't been more hype about them to be honest (maybe that's a good thing, or maybe I missed it!), but given how high profile they are, the fact they are still under the radar a bit is slightly strange....typically they clash with The Black Keys who I also really want to see, but I've seen them before so Broken Bells win this time...

...and my favourite at the moment (but no professional live version available...sound on this is still great for an amateur video though)

For me, if you are looking for a band that are capable of putting on a performance were you think "WOW, i'm so glad i was here", do not miss Hot Chip. They are fantastic live and will play an hour of crowd pleasers no doubt. They are different and entertaining (they have some horrid clashes to deal with, so i will understand some not being there). As for a "smaller band" (although some would say that's an unfair tag now) Wild Beasts are fantastic.

P.S. Some truely shocking suggestions on here. Having seen The XX and Courteeners live twice, i will be avoiding at all costs. If you come away on Monday Morning and one of those two were your favourite performances, you haven't seen enough bands.

The XX are fantastic on record, but are as boring as Editors live (i'm not even exaggerating!).

Courteeners are even worse, the lead singer is a spanner and they have two good songs at best. Oh and the crowd is full of 20 stone bald men jumping and grinding up against you, throwing piss around wishing they were watching Oasis.

I really think the National are set to go stellar -I hope so, they're fantastic. Also reckon Plan B will absolutely ram out the Dance tent- if he smashes it and that gets covered by the Beeb he could definitely build on his recent number 1 album and all that airplay / ad music he's getting at the moment.
