I've done some thinking and this is my prediction, bit unsure about some heavier bands but i've given it a go!

FRIDAY READING

MAIN STAGE

MUSE - yes

BIFFY CLYRO - exclusive to Soni.. not a chance

30 SECONDS TO MARS - yes

BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE - I get the feeling they would rather do Soni again if Reading offer them this sort of slot

INCUBUS - too low... were still an arena band on their last UK tour and second headlined Download... will prob come back as an arena band again

ALEXISONFIRE - seems too soon.. much more likely for Download exclusive as have been talking bout playing there last couple of years

RISE AGAINST - too low

WE ARE THE OCEAN - def possible

NME

FLORENCE + THE MACHINE - def think would be on main if she plays

THE XX - would headline this stage

CARL BARAT - hmmm prob a slot lower

FRANK TURNER - really doubt NME yet again

TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB - possibly or higher

THE VACCINES - prob be higher

BROTHER (I KNOW THEM, THEY HAVE TOLD ME THEY ARE PLAYING) - surely be higher by then

LOCK UP

LESS THAN JAKE - I would think main again

FR

ELLIE GOULDING - if Marina can I suppose so

SATURDAY

MAIN STAGE

THE STROKES - yes

PULP - yes

VAMPIRE WEEKEND - dont see them still touring atm

MGMT - same as VW

MUMFORD AND SONS - too low

JAMIE T - dont see it

THE PIGEON DETECTIVES - too low

FOALS - too low but prob play

BOMBAY BICYCLE CLUB - waaay too low but prob play

THE HORRORS - too low but prob play

NME

THE OFFSPRING - sure they would rather have a better slot at Soni or Download and didnt they do the Euro fests around Reading recently.. surely that makes them less likely

ENTER SHIKARI - very much doubt it.. meant to be taking the year off and exact same slot as this year

THE SUBWAYS - prob be one higher or main

ALL TIME LOW - would be higher I reckon.. could well play though although think more likely for decent slot at Download or Soni

THE AUDITION - doubt it

YOUNG GUNS - cert wouldnt be below the Audition atm

STEREO SKYLINE - hmmm

LOCK UP

RANCID (too big to headline lock up? maybe somewhere on the main stage not sure) - I unfortunately just dont see them playing

FR

HADOUKEN - hmmm

SUNDAY

MAIN STAGE

GREEN DAY - maybe but think MCR will headline

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE :/ - see above

LOSTPROPHETS - no reason to go up a slot.. will prob be at Soni and maybe return next year with new album

BRAND NEW - unfortunately don't see them touring the UK so soon

JIMMY EAT WORLD - yes

ALL AMERICAN REJECTS - don't really know what is going on in their camp atm but doubt above TBS

TAKING BACK SUNDAY - yes

THE BLACKOUT - yes

BRING ME THE HORIZON - fair bit higher... were meant to be second on in 2008 although at Reading opened due to Mindless Self Indulgence not being on time

NME

THE KOOKS - dont see it

WHITE LIES - hmm

FUTUREHEADS - prob headline FR

JACK PENATE - not sure

TEMPER TRAP - def be higher

ONE NIGHT ONLY - dont see them playing but if they did would be higher

LOS CAMPESIONOS - dont see them getting this high

DANCE ARENA

CHASE & STATUS - really doubt they will be in dance arena.. too big

FR

LIGHTSPEED CHAMPION - sub headlined this stage recently so I doubt it... prob on NME stage if anywhere

tell me what you think, i personally would very much like it :)

I have a gut feeling this year's line-up will turn out to be a dissapointment, like 2007 and 2009. Odd years seem to get really weak line-ups whilst even years are always solid (2006, 2008, 2010)

The Strokes

Pulp

Florence And The Machine

MGMT

My Chemical Romance

30 Seconds To Mars

Bullet For My Valentine

Incubus

Muse

The Prodigy

Vampire Weekend

Mumford & Sons

Expect something like that. :P

I can imagine that happening.

Wouldn't mind it. First half Friday main stage second half NME stage.

I'm doubting Mumford and sons will do it next year, I reckon V will try hard to get them and I heard they're not doing a lot next year, supposedly "resting" from this years shows.

Ok not sure how realistic this is but I've made some changes to main stage and added nme stage and FR headliners. There are a fair few NME bands I would want to move around a bit like I think Brother will prob play a bit higher but:

Taking Back Sunday

The Horrors

Pulled Apart By Horses

NME Stage

The Streets

La Roux

Magnetic Man

Warpaint

The Go! Team

Noah and the Whale

Brother

The Duke Spirit

Cage the Elephant

Funeral Party

Flats

FR Stage

Patrick Wolf

Sunday

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
