When did they beg to play it though? You forget that now they have two arena tours under the belt and some huge festival slots such as headlining second stage at Download (a slot bands like The Prodigy have done) and second headlining Rock Am Ring (and they are arguably a bit smaller in Germany than in the UK). The band have mentioned they want to play Reading 2011 and I think with their recent success the fest organisers would prob change their mind.

Fair enough I still stand by the point of view that they have done a hell of a lot in the last year and surely that would change feelings toward them. I mean before 2007 they were virtually unknown in the UK... 2007 they were pretty much running on the name of Jared Leto and one big single. 2008 they didn't really tour past the start of the year... 2009 we didn't hear anything from them... and 2010 they would have had to have been booked very early 2010 at the latest and didn't even do their first arena tour until around February... alot has changed in a year. We'll see anywayz. I'm pretty certain Sonisphere would love to have the band in a decent slot if Reading won't take them. But I believe within the next few years 30stm will have had a decent slot at Reading.

They're annoying live, most of the time Leto doesn't sing and holds his microphone to the crowd to get them to sing it instead. It wouldn't be so bad if he was doing that during the chorus of their bigger songs, but he does it in every song and it ruins it. I'll probably be elsewhere if they play.

The above would make me want to discover cloning incredibly fast.

I would have to chose between The Strokes, Faithless, Hurts AND Less Than Jake???? And I would have to choose between Muse, Pixies and Frank Turner?!

FR wouldn't be that cruel would they? xD

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
    • Taxi mafia running their usual scam.
