Where on earth has this came from could this be any more random, but to be honest I had many a happy day throwing my best shapes at school discos to the beats of Snap. Some of those shapes could well have to come out the closet if they play! :P

from dance village farcebook page....

Bigger, bassier and altogether more bootylicious for 2010, the Dance Village has seven music arenas including two brand-spanking-new stages and the BBC Introducing stage, newly welcomed into the Dance community.

The WOW! Stage replaces the Dance Lounge this year, with a colourful collision of '70s Club Tropicana nostalgia, a tropical paradise setting and bang up-to-the-minute disco, house, future-garage, dubstep and a fistful of rising stars from across the board. DJs will play into the sunshine from a giant pineapple DJ booth during daylight hours, slipping into a tropicalia-laden tent for evening entertainment. The WOW! is also the setting for half of our Thursday night opening party - the first on site - with some super-special guests.

The world-famous Pussy Parlure is back, with Annie Nightingale overseeing the other hemisphere of opening festivities on Thursday night. Annie celebrates her 40th year in the BBC, a poetic tie-in at Glasto's 40th birthday. Then the ever-playful Parlure does what it does best with its host of fringe fancies and left-field treats throughout the weekend.

Cubehenge is also new for 2010, an outdoor stage for blissed-out house, downbeat dancing and funk. The space is created amidst a barrage of monumental cubes, which are lit from within, shifting and changing colour iridescently by night. It's a modern day megalithic temple for revelers to worship the gods of dance.

And of course we'll be welcoming back our old friends East Dance and West Dance with their customary downpour of the biggest dance acts in the game from electro, to grime, to hip hop, to trance, to techno, to fidget, to drum and bass, to... well you get the idea. PLUS, we've got Magic Bubbles' stage, cafe and gallery (with some secret VIP guests) the Boudoir, digital graffiti wall, epic artworks and a bunch of other beautiful bits 'n' bobs.
