99% watching them, ill probably never get the chance again (wouldent buy tickets for a gig of theirs) i know most of their singles and early albums tracks from joshua tree, war, unforgettable fire etc.

EDIT: the 1% is based on the chance of faithless possibly clashing with them, wut theyre rumoured for sunday? so looks like u2 is getting a look in. i predict a massive crowd

Absolutely..I'm really excited about getting to see my favourite band close up for the first time since the early 80s. Can't wait to hear Sunday Bloody Sunday and all the classics..its going to be amazing. I shall be in front of the Pyramid all day if I have to on Friday, to make sure I am right at the front!

I wander about for hours on end every year..and I will have four other days to wander about this year as well, but being only 5ft tall, I can never see anything at their concerts and can never make it to the front. This is my one chance to do that!

Oh and I do so want to see Mos Def !

He is playing over here this week but only London and Bristol I think , hardly seems worth coming

over for that.

Whats wrong with a proper tour Mos ?

I can discount anything in the JP stage , cos I think its shit - Unless it's White Lies

Anyway here is my "Could keep me away from U2 List ! "

Mos Def

Faithless

Editors

White Lies

The Horrors

Chemical Brothers

I'm as yet undecided. I'd really like to watch Mos Def, as his album from last year - The Ecstatic - was my favourite of the year.

However, U2 at the pyramid stage will probably be one of those moments that people talk about for years. But then if it was one of those moments that people talk about for years, I can always be all contrary and say "I was watching some Backpack Rap on the Jazz Stage man .... "

I'm not sure yet. The whole group I'm with will be there, but I've never really been a fan or really explored them that much outside the singles or odd listens to Joshua Tree around mates etc. Admittedly they have a few tunes but a lot just doesn't really do much for me. Gonna check out the albums prior though, give em a chance, but I think if something I really want to see is elsewhere, I'll be there.

Got Black on Both Sides and The Ecstatic this week and thoroughly enjoying.

f**k me, a lot of you know what you're going to be doing? I get to Glastonbury, put up the tent, and for the next 5 days I mooch about, dunno where I'll be at any time. All about the spontaneity, the random and the unexpected.

    • The basement, deafheaven, Mannequin pussy clash is v annoying. Also not sure why pinkpantheress is in the tent, surely going to be ramos.
    • It's just this:   Search up which orgs are currently in Tufton St, funded by Koch Brothers, Robert Mercer, and Matthew Elliot.   It's moved on from "Vote Leave" and "Leave Means Leave" into the lobbyists against net zero. It's the same funding from the same people in the same place lobbying our media and politicians.
    • Debut album from Haiver (ex Frightened Rabbit's Billy Kennedy band) is an absolutely gorgeous thing. If you're a fan of FR then you'll probably like it. Definitely a contender for album of the year for me.
    • The tickets for the back at Muse, did go on sale. I know because I bought tickets there because they were the cheapest. All in with fee's, I got tickets at £81.20 each.   So likely, sold out quickly for those wanting the cheapest tickets. Either that or sold poorly and they took them off sale and when I turn up they offer me paper ticket upgrades because they closed the back.
    • She's headlining Reading and Leeds. Not to be sniffed at. She's also done her substantial arena tour since last time.    I think she's a decent bet to do it.
