About two I would say I would have liked to see , but I am glad to see peple like it hopefully when I go get a pint of brothers or two someone will just capture the imagination. Would have liked to seen Mos Def out of curiosity and still might!, I am not dead cert on U2 but its looking like them and Rodrigo y Gabriela would have been cool earlier in the day I would have caught them :P.

I really gutted Jerry Dammers Spacial AKA Orchestra is on 2nd on saturday :P, I wanna get real good place for Muse, that sounds like it would have been ace to see. (Just you tubed it after seeing his name).

Although I agree with your sentiments that the Pixies performance are usually a bit average the strength of their back catalogue is just phenomenal. It really doesn't matter.

I can picture it now, "It is time for stormy waether." Torrential rain for that song alone and then glasto can go back to the sunny weather

Yeah, cos you know that about me too! lol I'll have you know that i always listen to new music. But how it works is, i avoid the stuff i don't like and seek out the stuff i do like, forming intricate tastes and opinions over a broad range of musical genres.

Just please don't judge my musical taste based on a couple of acts i'm not particularly into or a couple of acts who i am into.

Can't get my head around West Holts so it's going to have to be The Stage Formerly Known as JazzWorld

For the uninitiated a bit of Dr John - taken a long time ago from The Last Waltz (The Band's farewell shows - and please don't ask who were The Band). He doesn't walk so well these days but if you want to see and hear New Orleans music at its best Dr John is still the man.

Not really the announcment i was waiting for,and consider all the hype it got to me it was dissapointing. Ok i can see lots like this sort of stuff, but it does nothing for me at all,i have spent best part of an hour on you tube and spotify looking at the line up,can honestly say i don't like 90% of it. I just hope they come up with some more announcments soon. If you like this sort of stuff your proberbly made up,but its not for everyone...Come on Eavis give us some tasters for the other stages. Sick of reading about U2 and Wonder

If I was to, 'ahem,' acquire a 'funkadelic collection (12 albums)' one of which is the aforementioned 'Maggot Brain' would I be on the right track? Or is he something different altogether. I admit I only had vague tinglings of recognition at the name but have been on youtube for the last hour having a wonderful time and I think I know where I'm going to be. :P

Yeah, but just because i haven't heard of the acts it doesn't mean i haven't heard of any of the songs. Like i said, i'm pretty clued up with the old muzak. Wanna bring the witch hunt to an end now?

This sort of stuff :P

Do you realise how many Genre's of music are represented on that stage? Anyone who cant find anything to like on this lineup.

If you cant find anything you like on that lineup then you seriously need some help. Or are you only a fan of white men playing guitars ?

Their back catalogue can be listened to on record. And it'll sound better, and have more spark.

They really are worth avoiding live, there's really nothing worth anyone's time.

    • Sun's out today. Can feel the hills calling. Time to ramp up the energy levels. I've been easing my way in gently the last 2 weeks with the likes of Hayley and Lael Neale and Cut Worms and Maria Somerville etc. Time to unleash some Shame, Mogwai, Place to Bury Strangers and especially Wednesday and Mannequin Pussy.  Also, just back from a brilliant night in Belfast at the Fleadh Ceoil so anything with a fiddle or a whistle or a squeeze box is drawing me like the Sirens. Madra Salach with the volume up. COME ON!!
    • My Orange car park ticket turned up today. The envelope looked like some kind of junk mail offering me a loan so I nearly didn't open it!
    • There is a bunch of TBC acts on Deftones day, according to APE insta. The obvious guesses are Fiddlehead, Nothing, Dynamite and Make Way, "Outbreak" artists playing the night before. The question is more about how are they are gonna fit in on three big stages.    is
    • SURELY Reel Big Fish will be here?
    • Sam Fender, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter is a very bland set of headliners. Commercially successful and makes plenty of sense, but it wouldn't be very inspirising. That said I want a band like Green Day to headline so who am I to say what exciting is.
