I'd just like to say that the line up so far - from a personal point of view - is ridiculous. Here are my 'must sees' who are TBC or better:

When I say 'must see' I mean I will definitely be going to see them clashes permitting (some of those are bound to clash), and not simply a band I 'might go along to check out'.

That is a daft number of 'must sees'. I usually have 5 or 6 maximum over Glastonbury weekend.

And I daresay the likes of Doves and Seasick Steve will be added to the line-up soon as well. And The Bees REALLY surprised me, so maybe there are a few other nice surprises lined up...? Kloot? Or is that just being greedy?

sorry if it's been mentioned, but i just woke up and haven't time to go through all 20 pages, but for me...

if Jackson Browne is indeed headling Acoustic Tent on Sun night, then the clash btw him, Stevie, and Rodrigo Y Gabriella is one that's as bad as the N Young/Ray Davies/Doves clash last year for me. add to that, the 'Glasto houseband' on the Other Stage, who'd i'd already had to write off any hope of seeing due to the Stevie and JBrowne possibility.

I reckon that's a cracking announcement this early on a damn good line up. Sunday especially has given me my first "oh no" moment - really hoped to catch Rodrigo y Gabriela if the played but not at the expense of Misstra Wonder, no way, no how.

Mos Def might have to be done though. Actually, I'd listen to just about anything to avoid U2.

Muse v. Parliament/Funkadelic? That's a bit of a toughie. Let's see what else pops up.

nothing against those two, been meaning to catch them for ages, but i would have thought they'd have tried to get something bigger to go up against stevie. that's not going to be giving too many in the stevie camp nightmares.

what blows me away the the sheer number of bonafide legends, either in their own genre, or for previous glastonbury performances we already have

and there are seriously people out there stating they haven't got big enough acts yet!!!

its one of the most amazing line-ups ive seen. and we still know about 15% tops so far

I tend not to get involved in the non stop bickering that has hammered these forums in the last few years. Can only assume its just I am getting old and the new kids on the block are mostly angry fellows...

Happy with the name, backstage last year and there was talk of it being this or similar. Can't really remember if this was real or not, could have been a dream.

Not sure where all the confusion with line up announcement has come from. It was pretty clear it was a Jazzworld/West Holts announcement. Well I thought it was anyhoo!

May have changed name but it still serves the same purpose. Its a place that is different from the rest, a stage for a different vibe. It has also pulled in some fantastic acts that could play any stage at the festival.

I don't expect the majority to get it to be honest. That is where we all differ. And thats what it is all about is it not? You just do not get this at any other festival.

To many people this is a longstanding tradition of the festival to have a stage that does what it does. If you really get Glastonbury you would understand how important an announcement like this is. It all adds up. One stage after another, another area next to the other. A new tent near the last. You are not expected to like it all, but someone will and you should be happy for them.

Reading through all the posts of delight I can only assume that - even though I'm completely non-plussed about any of the acts - this is good news. If the Jazz World (whatever it's called) stage lineup is so good for people who like that sort of thing then what sort of delights can a guitar band fan like me look forward to!
