there have been many disappointments in life and many musically based the seahorses album (a cross between the roses and the beatles and the stone roses my arse you pr bastard) isobel campbell and mark langdon using pre recorded strings. but what have been your biggest glastonbury let downs which bands album did you love only to be disappointed and who was too over hyped.

i will start with sea sick steve yes i love the rambleing stories and the diy instruments but the music was pretty awful and pretty bland

Prodigy last year. Average I thought. But in mitigation, I was very tired by the Sunday and had the raging trots, so maybe it was just my mood. Soooooo wish I'd gone with my gut and watched Blur.

The Prodigy in 2009...what a bunch of butt munchers...they seemed to forget it was a festival crowd, not their personal gang of warriors. The sound was also mighty crappy.

I’ve only been to a couple of Glasto’s but for me it was The Fleet Foxes last year. Especially since I think I could have been watching Paolo’s secret performance at the time (and probably should have since he’d got us backstage). Maybe had more to do with the fact that I instantly went off their album when I got back from the festival.

Pronghorn at Club Dada last year. Thought it would be a good starter for the festival, but left half way through (along with most of the back of the tent) bored s**tless.

wow, see i really enjoyed the prodigy! such a good end to the weekend! There was a sort of 50:50 split in my group between prodigy & blur and at the end everyone thought they'd made the right decision.

I'd have to say... eagles of death metal. Too early, plus i wasn't at the front - i think thats why

but i walk away from that very underwhelmed, especially cos i saw them at reading in 08 and they were amazing!
