I'm 17 and I can tell you now that I am extremely excited to see Stevie Wonder and I reckon he will put on an unforgettable performance of euphoric preportions.

I'm really sick to death of reading posts like "Oh but we're young people, we want something like Kings of Leon! Stevie Wonder doesn't suit the younger generation!". So what if he doesn't suit the younger generation. He makes brilliant music and that's all that matters. I know it's a bit tedious cause I keep on bringing them up but Pixies are my all time favourite band and they are from the late 80s/early 90s!

The point that I'm trying to make is that music is universal, it doesn't matter what decade the band/artist is from, if they make brilliant music and do something to you emotionally then that's absolutely great. It doesn't matter if they don't "Cater for the younger generation". All that really matters is what they do to you on an emotional level. (I'm sorry if this post comes across as pompous)

Listen to your dad. I promise you you will have a brilliant time, I know I will! :P

Ditto to this post, except I'm 18 :P

I don't mind acts like Kings of Leon, the Killers etc but I certainly don't love them and rarely listen to them/would not be at all excited if they headlined. Stevie on the other hand, proper f**king legend. Once him and U2 have played theres not many of the big acts left - a Zeppelin reunion, Prince, Pink Floyd erm...

What she really wants is for him to play I Believe (When I Fall In Love), me too, it would simply be too good for words. Sadly, I've had to tell her it's unlikely.... she wants to write to someone and make a request.... you seem to be in the know a little, what's the chances?

it sort of comes up when people say things like Stevie Wonder isn't up to headlining.... if not him, who?

to me, and I realise this is highly subjective, but when someone says they're not keen on Mr Wonder, it's a bit like saying they don't like music

yea, yea.. I know....

being there, and not seeing him because you're sky-plussing it...???

I'm so glad I didn't read this thread in it's infancy. It would have been too depressing. Very funny now though.

Worried worried worried. Most of the acts announced so far are very underwhelming. If something goes wrong and Stevie isn't headlining this could be a disaster! Why is it taking so long?

Today is March 18th. The festival starts on June 23rd. Now, bear in mind that in recent years, we didn't even have tickets at this stage of the year, let alone any headliners with 'TBC' next to them in the rumours list, and I think the above is nothing more than impatience.

A disaster????!? Behave yourself. Have you got your ticket? Haven't we got another 3 months - a quarter of a year - to go before the gates open?

Stop moaning, stop being impatient and get speculating wildly like the rest of us!!

Pink Floyd are headlining the tiny tea tent performing the hits of Sinitta on banjos and recorders.
