first gig...Bryan Adams - Hammersmith Odeon '85 (dated to show that at least it was pre-Kevin Costner/Robin Hood yrs)

second gig, a few weeks later... Rick Springfield - Hamm Odeon as well.

coincidentally, support for both gigs was a band called 'Scorched Earth'. so, they're the first band i've ever seen twice!

I've got the first 4 Robbie albums. Was a bit gutted that the RW Glasto rumour turned out to be bollocks. I'd enjoy watching him. And I do love his cover of Back For Good.

I also own 'Back to Bedlam' by James Blunt. 'You're Beautiful' is complete and total shite, but otherwise there's nowt wrong with that album. I remember seeing him at Glastonbury in (I think) 2005 - before it was cool to hate him - and most people in the audience quite liked him.

I was a big fan of Travis until they released 12 Memories which was utter gash. Their headline performance in 2000 was ace.

Nothing wrong with Ocean Colour Scene - stop being such f**king snobs. Still love them and don't even remotely think of them as a 'guilty pleasure'.

Shakin' Stevens would be up there, but his abysmal performance in 2008 has put me right off him.

In order of Shame

1...Neil Diamond at Glastonbury....Went under strict orders from her indoors to get sme photos...Managed to get to front,but could only stand about 6 songs before i departed.

2... UB 40....Manchester Nynex with my ex....

3...B B King......NEC 2007 ?...bitterly dissapointed...very poor and to top it all,Gary Moore was support...2.75 hour trip there....Not a good night.

4...This was a Glastonbury suprise,last year i was with my daughter and we went to watch Will Young, i was very apprehensive...But wow i had a great time....If hes there again this year we will be back

Bloody hell i forgot the worst...Lionel Richie at the NEC..Pass the sick bucket please.

Meat Loaf! I have been listening to him on the way to work for the past 3 weeks love him! He'd go down a storm on the pyramid stage!

Also i like Scouting for Girls too and a band called Hocus Pocus who sang a song (in the 70's?) called Focus...its great but very uncool according to my boyfriend...it has yodelling in it and some funny voices

Also i like Lady Gaga but i think she's cool so she doesnt belong in this thread.....yes, really!...and Take That are amazing they just get better and better!

Any of the above. We have a winner. That's simply horrible. That list is so bad, it would make ampersand shudder with horror.

ANY Abba at all is unforgiveable, but the soundtrack to a shite film based on the 'music' of Abba is beyond evil - it's like being a serial killer, and keeping a scrap book of all the press cuttings of your grisly crimes, using the victims' blood as glue.
