Two points on this thread.

1.) Can't say I'd be too fussed either way if Robbie did play.

2.) If I want to hear offensive jokes I'll go to see a comedian. Then it's my choice and I know the consequences.

I think he might like to give that impression but my friend who works with children with disabilties would tell you otherwise.

One of the children wrote to him and asked to meet him. He conntacted the school personally, arrived with no entourage whatsoever, and spent the whole day with the kids from 9-4 (not just deigning to spend an hour or two), and the only condition he made was that none of the photos were handed on to the media. She said he totally mucked in with everyone all day and was a total natural with the kids - avoiding that patronising thing alot of people end up doing with children with disabilties, and just playing around, laughing, joking, taking the piss. Everyone loved him.

Princess Diana once popped in there for 30 minutes, insisted on having a toilet kept reserved just for her for the entire day, and the footage of her giving one child a hug is still on a loop till this day! I don't say that because I think anyone here might be a Diana fan over Robbie - but to demonstrate that there is plenty of publicity to be had visiting the school my friend works at, and Robbie didn't want any of it.

Please could someone insert a sharp (preferably red hot) object up anyone who wishes Cancer upon anyone or who thinks the subject should be one of fun.

Thank you

Nowt to do with Robbie, but something I'd like to post. It's about the cancer thing.

I probably overreacted to Russy earlier. I still maintain it was bad taste, but I'm struggling a bit right now as a family member died yesterday because of it.

I've read russy's posts, I've agreed and heartily laughed at them beforehand - he's a good, entertaining poster and efests would be worse without him.

I'm just struggling a bit today. Russy - sorry if I snapped.

Sorry for the mushy crap on the Glastonbury forum, folks. :P

:P:P I can't believe it. The original post was so blatantly bollocks that it was hardly worth acknowledging, obviously the work of a habitual liar. :P:P

Kinda smug.

    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
